The body portion (12) is (i) sufficiently pliable to enable adjustment thereof to conform to a shape of the neonate upon application of a stimulus (24) to the body portion (12), and (ii) sufficiently stiff to provide support for, and resist movements of, the neonate in the absence of the stimulus (24).

Breathable mattress pad and sleeping accessories

Sleeping accessories such as mattress pads, mattress topper covers, and sheet savers are disclosed herein comprising integrated padded mesh material. Integrated padded mesh material, when used in the sleeping accessories, results in improved air flow for the user, which can reduce complications during sleep such as sudden infant death syndrome. The material may have one or multiple layers, and may include a moisture wicking fabric, allergy-blocking fabric, or water resistant fabric. Certain layers are padded to provide more comfort for the user and in some embodiments, the padded layer may be sloped to assist with reflux.

The crib liner includes at least a first panel configured to cover a portion of the vertical spaced support elements. The first panel includes a breathable body portion, a bottom border, a top border and side borders and at least a first and second fastener at each end to attach the first panel to the crib. The breathable body portion includes a first material having a front layer and a back layer attached to each other and having different fabric weaves; the breathable body portion having an air permeability of between 385 CFM to 1530 CFM and a light permeability of between 47 and 99%.

The individual bolster forms a boundary of a perimeter of a protected space. By protected space is meant an enclosed area of the mattress. An infant placed within the protected space is contained with the protected space such that the infant cannot crawl or roll out of the protected space. Each of the one or more bolsters comprises the individual bolster, a plurality of straps, and a plurality of fasteners. The plurality of straps attach the individual bolster to the mattress. The plurality of fasteners secure the plurality of straps to the mattress.

A cot includes a patient platform that supports a frame, a patient support assembly, and a pad. The cot further includes a lift system that is coupled to a transport system that includes a cot retainer. The patient support assembly includes a headrest, backrest, seat, and leg rest. In some forms, a child restraint assembly is incorporated into the various parts of the patient support assembly to allow safe transport of children in an ambulance. The child restraint assembly is adjustable to accommodate the size of the child being transported. In other forms, the child restraint assembly is incorporated into the pad. The various embodiments envision a child restraint assembly that is easily accessible to emergency medical professionals.

Once the first and second catches are disengaged, the bed rail may swing down.

A child support device includes a support frame having a base portion and an upright portion extending upwardly from the base portion. The upright portion is generally V-shaped and includes an upper junction. A handle is formed with the upper junction to facilitate transporting the child support device and wheels are attached to the base portion to facilitate movement. The arrangement of the support frame allows the support frame to fit through a 30-inch wide door opening. A support arm is pivotally suspended from the upper junction and a child-receiving receptacle is pivotally coupled to the at least one support arm. A capacitive touch control panel adjacent the upper junction controls operation of the child support device in response to user touches. Base and upright portions of the support frame, when viewed from the side, are collectively generally S-shaped.
