A display case having end jamb lighting module and a center mullion lighting module is disclosed. The lighting modules include a shell and at least one substrate whereon lighting elements are mounted. The shell defines engagement slots used to affix the substrate to the shell. The shell defines an aperture allowing light from the lighting elements to be projected out. The lighting module may include a second substrate upon which electrical components are mounted, the electrical components for conditioning input power for the lighting elements. A reflective portion of the shell or a separate reflector mounted on the shell operates on the light to form a desired spatial distribution of light. An optical cover covers the aperture. The center mullion lighting module can include a third substrate for mounting of lighting elements. Alternatively, the center mullion lighting module can be formed by combining two end jamb lighting modules.

The merchandiser also includes a heat guide that is in communication with cold air within the product display area, and a heat source that is coupled to the case structure within the product display area. The heat source is further coupled to the heat guide by a thermal recovery device. The heat guide forms a bridge between the thermal recovery device and the cold air in the product display area such that power is generated based on a temperature difference across the thermal recovery device.

The refrigeration unit may be positioned at the top of the merchandise display system and may be removable. The outer housing of the refrigeration unit may be manufactured in a variety of colors. Each of the colors may be indicative a type of merchandise stored within the merchandise display system.

A museum display case with a fixed case formed by fixed glass walls surmounted by an upper openable glass door. The openable glass door is slidingly openable with respect to the fixed case. The fixed glass walls and the openable glass door have, with respect to the display case, respective inner faces and outer faces connected by peripheral edges. The museum display case has two linear sliding guides between the openable glass door and the fixed case. The linear sliding guides are applied, on one side, on the inner face of the openable glass door near opposite peripheral edges of the openable glass door and, on the other side, on the peripheral edge of two opposite fixed glass walls. The linear sliding guides have dimensions corresponding to the thickness of the fixed glass wall to which they are applied.

Methods and systems are disclosed for dynamic adjustment of planograms on electronic door displays of refrigerated display cases. A display system for a refrigerated display case includes: a movable door configured to provide access to the refrigerated display case; a touchscreen display mounted to the door; at least one processor in electronic communication with the touchscreen display and configured to perform operations comprising: providing, for presentation by the touchscreen display, first image data, wherein the first image data depicts one or more products stored within the refrigerated display case; detecting user input at a first location of the touchscreen display, wherein the user input includes a selection of a product stored within the refrigerated display case; and in response to detecting the user input, providing second image data for presentation in addition to the first image data, wherein the second image data depicts information related to the selected product.
