Pregabalin Immunoassays

Compounds and methods for use in detecting pregabalin in a sample suspected of containing pregabalin are disclosed. Pregabalin derivatives are described for producing pregabalin conjugates. A pregabalin-immunogenic carrier conjugate may be used as an immunogen for the preparation of an anti-pregabalin antibody. A pregabalin-detectable label conjugate may be used in a signal producing system in pregabalin assays.

RECOMBINANT YEAST STRAIN FOR PRODUCING NERVONIC ACIDS AND APPLICATION THEREOF
20210032665 · 2021-02-04 ·

The present invention discloses an engineering yeast strain for producing nervonic acids. The yeast strain over-expresses the genes related to enzymes required in a synthetic process of long-chain unsaturated fatty acids, such as fatty acid elongase, desaturase, diacylglycerol acyltransferase and the like, and optionally, further adjusts and controls the synthesis and decomposition route of triglyceride, the synthesis and decomposition route of sphingomyelin, and the synthesis and decomposition route and the oxidation-reduction balanced route of lipid subcell levels. The recombinant yeast strain can produce microorganism oil; and the content of the prepared nervonic acids accounts for 39.6% of the total fatty acids.

Increased biosynthesis of benzylisoquinoline alkaloids and benzylisoquinoline alkaloid precursors in a recombinant host cell

Recombinant microorganisms, plants, and plant cells are disclosed that have been engineered to have reduced levels or activity of one or more alcohol dehydrogenases or aldehyde reductases thereby increasing the production of benzylisoquinoline alkaloids and/or benzylisoquinoline alkaloid precursors.

METABOLIC ENZYME ACTIVITY AND DISULFIDE BOND REDUCTION DURING PROTEIN PRODUCTION

The present disclosure relates to the use of host cell protein biomarkers to assess disulfide bond reduction in compositions comprising a protein of interest. In some embodiments, the disclosure relates to methods of predicting the occurrence of disulfide bond reduction or low molecular weight protein species in compositions comprising a protein of interest, wherein the expression or activity level of at least one host cell protein is measured and provides a benchmark value associated with the occurrence of disulfide bond reduction or low molecular weight species of said protein of interest. In some embodiments, the disclosure relates to methods of producing a protein of interest, wherein host cells capable of producing the protein of interest are cultured, the expression or activity level of at least one host cell protein is measured, and downstream isolation of the protein of interest is informed by the host cell protein measurements.

BACILLUS SUBTILIS STRAIN, RECOMBINANT BACILLUS SUBTILIS STRAIN AND USE THEREOF

The present disclosure provides a Bacillus subtilis strain, a recombinant B. subtilis strain and use thereof, belongs to the technical field of microbial fermentation. B. subtilis strain RF1-6 provided by the present disclosure is a mutant strain with the highest riboflavin yield screened by gene modification and mutagenesis using a high riboflavin-producing strain RF1 as a starting strain, deposited at China Center for Type Culture Collection (CCTCC) under accession number M 2022565. Riboflavin yield can be increased by 22.8% compared with that of the high riboflavin-producing strain RF1.

COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR RAPID AND DYNAMIC FLUX CONTROL USING SYNTHETIC METABOLIC VALVES

This invention relates to metabolically engineered microorganisms, such as bacterial and or fungal strains, and bioprocesses utilizing such strums. These strains enable the dynamic control of metabolic pathways, which can be used to optimize production. Dynamic control over metabolism is accomplished via a combination of methodologies including but not limited to transcriptional silencing and controlled enzyme proteolysis. These microbial strains are utilized in a multi-stage bioprocess encompassing at least two stages, the first stage in which microorganisms are grown and metabolism can be optimized for microbial growth and at least one other stage in which growth can be slowed or stopped, and dynamic changes can be made to metabolism to improve the production of desired product, such as a chemical or fuel.
