The security system has an anchoring assembly configured to be operatively secured relative to a subjacent surface and/or another object in the vicinity of a subjacent surface at a display location at which the display is to be supported to prevent removal of the display from the display location. The security system and display are configured to be releasably placed in an engaged relationship wherein the base assembly cannot be separated from the anchoring assembly.
