Visual Recognition and Sensor Fusion Weight Detection System and Method
Disclosed are visual recognition and sensor fusion weight detection system and method. An example method includes: tracking, by a sensor system, objects and motions within a selected area of a store; activating, by the sensor system, a first computing device positioned in the selected area in response to detecting a presence of a customer within the selected area; identifying, by the sensor system, the customer and at least one item carried by the customer; transmitting, by the sensor system, identifying information of the customer and the at least one item to a computing server system via a communication network; measuring, by the first computing device, a weight of the at least one item; transmitting, by the first computing device, the weight to the computing server system via the communication network; and generating, by the computing server system, via the communication network, transaction information of the at least one item.
SALES DATA PROCESSING APPARATUS AND SALES DATA PROCESSING METHOD
In one embodiment, a sales data processing apparatus has a first and a second antennas, and a processor. The first antenna receives, from a wireless tag attached to a commodity, tag information to uniquely identify the relevant commodity. The second antenna receives the tag information from the wireless tag recovered by a recovery device. The processor judges whether the wireless tag attached to the commodity is a wireless tag required to be detached from the commodity, based on the tag information received by the first antenna. The processor judges whether the second antenna has received the tag information of the wireless tag which is judged to be the wireless tag required to be detached from the commodity.
SYSTEM, APPARATUS AND METHOD OF ITEM LOCATION, LIST CREATION, ROUTING, IMAGING AND DETECTION
A system for enabling in store routing of a user generated shopping list using existing store cameras and artificial intelligence and machine learning is provided. The system uses a pixelbuffer comparison of items imaged in real time to compared to a database of machine learned images. The system further provides item recognition and detection through machine learning so as to improve a shoppers experiences. The system and method further includes drone assistance means and radio signal item and biological detection so as to improve accuracy. Other features to improve guidance and accuracy include landmark navigation and masking to improve accuracy of item recognition and detection. The system may be a standalone kiosk.
Model-based data validation
Various embodiments herein each include at least one of systems, methods, and software for model-based data validation to identify when self-scan checkout data requires validation. Some embodiments, in the form of a method includes receiving, via a network from a self-scanning device, a self-scan dataset of items for purchase within a purchase data processing transaction and evaluating the self-scan dataset to determine whether to require a rescan of items represented in the self-scan dataset. In such embodiments when a rescan is determined to be required, the method includes transmitting via the network to at least one of the self-scan device and at least one device of a store employee data indicating a rescan is required. However, when a rescan is not determined to be required, the method includes permitting the purchase data processing transaction to proceed.
Item carousel system
An example item carousel system is described. The system includes a terminal including a processor and a scanner. The system includes a carousel rotatably mounted to the terminal, the carousel including two or more bagging sections configured to receive bags. The system includes a motorized actuator configured to actuate rotation of the carousel relative to the terminal. The terminal is configured to read data from a machine readable identifier associated with an item using the scanner, and retrieve, using a retrieval module, item characteristics associated with the item from an item database. The terminal is configured to identify one bagging section of the two or more bagging sections of the carousel capable of receiving the item with the item characteristics, and mechanically rotate the carousel relative to the terminal with the motorized actuator such that the identified one bagging section is oriented toward a bagging area of the terminal.
Locking bracket for locking a digital device into a casing
A locking bracket for locking a digital device preliminarily inserted into a casing. The locking bracket includes an internal face for receiving at least one portion of the digital device and an external locking face. The locking bracket includes elements for assembling the locking bracket with the casing; elements for retaining the digital device; and at least one locking unit having a lock for locking the bracket to the casing.
Registration settlement apparatus
A registration settlement apparatus comprises a first determining module configured to determine contents of a transaction in response to an operation by a first operator; a second determining module configured to determine contents of the transaction in response to an operation by a second operator facing the first operator across the registration settlement apparatus; a determination control module configured to enable one of the first and second determining modules, and to switch to the determining module enabled for the determination on contents of a transaction started thereafter in response to a button operation by the second operator before the determination on contents of one transaction is started; and a settlement module configured to perform a settlement processing of calculating a settlement amount based on the contents of the transaction determined by the determining module enabled, and settling the calculated settlement amount in response to an operation by the first operator.
VACUUM FIXTURE
Disclosed is a vacuum fixture. The vacuum fixture may include a base plate assembly, a middle frame assembly, and a top plate assembly. The base plate assembly may have a first hinged edge. The middle frame assembly may be connected to the base plate proximate the first hinged edge and may define a void. The top plate assembly may have a second hinged edge connected to the first hinged edge, such that when the top plate assembly is in a closed position the middle frame assembly is located in between and contacts a first surface of the base plate assembly and a first surface of the top plate assembly, thereby forming a cavity in between the base plate assembly and the top plate assembly.
Speech recognition technology to improve retail store checkout
Systems and methods for using speech recognition technologies to facilitate retail store checkout are disclosed. According to certain aspects, an electronic device may detect a user's speech and analyze the speech to identify a set of matching items that may correspond to items being purchased by a customer. The electronic device may display, via a user interface, the set of matching items as well as a code or identification associated with the set of matching items. The user may interface with a point of sale system to input a code for a desired item, and the point of sale system may add the desired item to an order and may facilitate a checkout for the order.
CHECKOUT SYSTEM AND CHECKOUT METHOD
A checkout system includes an information processing apparatus comprising a first processor and a first interface, and a mobile terminal comprising an input device that receives a first input of first data of a commodity to be purchased by a customer and a second input for executing a checkout process, a second interface, and a second processor that, upon receipt of the first input, controls the second interface to transmit the first data to the apparatus, and upon receipt of the second input, control the second interface to transmit a first notification to the apparatus. In addition, the first processor, calculates an amount of payment based on the first data upon receipt of the first data, acquires second data about payment set for the customer, and performs a checkout process based on the first and second data upon receipt of the first notification.
