The system also includes a repositionable wall pad for placement on a support surface and configured to detachably couple to the frame mount. The wall pad includes a cross-linked closed cell polyethylene foam having a first face that faces away from the frame mount and an opposite second face that faces the frame mount. The wall pad further includes a removable transfer adhesive layer disposed directly along the first face, a permanent transfer adhesive layer disposed directly along the second face, and a second magnetic element that is magnetically attracted to the first magnetic element.

The outer frame element further includes a plurality of ribs formed along the inner face and an inner landing that protrudes inwardly into a center opening of the outer frame element. The frame system also includes a back plate configured for insertion into the center opening. The back plate includes a plurality of locking ribs for reception within the plurality of recesses to generate a snap-fit attachment of the back plate to the hollow outer frame element.

The frame can include a frame back, illumination panel, photograph matte, window, clip assemblies, and cover. The clip assemblies can secure the window and matte against the frame back, such that a photograph can be inserted therebetween, and can magnetically secure the cover to the frame back. The base can include an LED driver and a controller for controlling one or more illumination panels. The bases of two or more modular photograph display assemblies can be coupled together to form an assembly of display assemblies. Additional frames and posts can added on top of the frames of the modular display assemblies to further increase the number of photographs that can be displayed.

The plate has a top edge, a bottom edge, and a sidewall extending between the top edge and the bottom edge. The sidewall includes a tab that is received and locked in the slot, to oppose removal of the plate from the recess. A collectible can be positioned between the plate and the panel and received in a seat of the plate and/or the panel.

A method for assembling a canvas print includes the steps of: preparing a canvas substrate that includes a printed side; placing the canvas substrate with the printed side facing down; disposing a base frame over the canvas substrate; folding edges of the canvas substrate over sides of the base frame; inserting a rear panel into the base frame; and pressing the rear panel downward until a snap-fit connection is realized between the rear panel and the base frame with the folded edges of the canvas substrate being captured between the rear panel and the base frame and being taught across a forward face of the base frame.

PLANAR DISPLAY ASSEMBLY

A planar display assembly is provided with a planar display pane. A frame is provided with a dado sized to receive the planar display pane. A plurality of retainers mounts to the frame about an inner periphery of the frame to retain the planar display pane within the frame. At least one of the plurality of retainers is elastically deformable to deform during installation of the planar display into the frame, and to expand to retain the planar display pane within the frame. A plurality of apertures or a channel may be formed in the frame about the dado. The plurality of retainers may mount to the frame within the plurality of apertures or the channel of the frame to retain the planar display pane within the frame.

PLANAR DISPLAY ASSEMBLY

A planar display assembly is provided with a planar display pane in a frame with apertures formed about a periphery. Base members have a post received within the apertures. A retaining wall with ratchet teeth extends from each base member. Latch members with a hoop portion with a slot receive each retaining wall for adjustment in a direction toward the frame to accommodate display panes of varying thicknesses. A tooth is formed in each latch member to engage the ratchet teeth for adjustment. A release tab is provided on each latch member for manual release of the tooth from the ratchet teeth. A flexible arm extends from each latch members to engage and retain the planar display pane within the frame.
