10178919 · 2019-01-15 ·

An adjustably-sized and shaped picture frame formed of corner pieces around which are looped or woven one or more filaments such as colored yarns to form the frame borders. The frames created can be customized to various shapes and sizes. The corner pieces may be molded or molded and machined, and may have a diamond shape with inner side edges that align with outer corners of a sheet of artwork. The filament is woven around posts on both a front face and an outer corner of the corner pieces. A chamfer under a lower face of each corner piece may be used to secure free ends of the filament.

Frame apparatus

A frame apparatus for displaying an article. The frame apparatus includes a frame having a rabbet and a channel having a channel axis formed into a wall of the rabbet. A stack is positioned within the rabbet for display. The stack may include a glazing, an article for display, and a backer panel. A clip member is slidably coupled to the frame within the channel such that the clip member can slide within the channel along the channel axis while remaining coupled to the frame. The clip member has a hanging feature. Thus, the clip member serves the dual purpose of securing the stack within the rabbet and also providing the hanging feature for the frame. Furthermore, the clip member functions as a built-in self-leveling feature because it can slide within the channel thus ensuring that the frame is hung in a level manner.

A framing system includes a first screen, a second screen and a first bracket. The first bracket includes an internal slot configured to receive a portion of the inner and outer surfaces of the first screen as well as a portion of the inner and outer surfaces of the second screen. A first gripping member is configured to selectively extend into the internal slot of the first bracket to secure the first screen and the second screen. A method for framing includes securing graphics to a first screen, placing a second screen against the graphics such that the graphics is between the first and second screens, inserting the assembled graphics and first and second screens into an internal slot of at least one bracket and, with a gripping member, pressing the first screen against the second screen and the second screen against an internal surface of the internal slot.

A modular poster print stretch frame for displaying a variety of sizes of poster prints. The modular poster print stretch frame may comprise a plurality of modular frame sections, each having a section body and two or more connectors disposed on at least two faces of the section body, each connector being configured to link the modular frame section to at least one other modular frame section. Modular frame sections may also include a plurality of retaining structures which may be used to retain a fabric sheet, such as a poster print. Some or all of the modular frame sections may be substantially identical to and interchangeable with each other, allowing for simple and easy assembly of the modular poster print stretch frame to a variety of sizes.

Method of assembling a frame

A method of assembling a frame which includes positioning a first frame member adjacent to a second frame member, the first and second frame members having channel with a mounting surface; providing a reinforcement bracket having a plate with a front surface and a rear surface, a first mounting element extending from the rear surface of the plate, and a second mounting element extending from the rear surface of the plate; applying an adhesive along at least one of: (1) the mounting surfaces of the frame members; and (2) the first and second mounting elements of the reinforcement bracket; and positioning the first and second mounting elements into the channels and pressing the first and second mounting elements against the mounting surfaces to adhesively attach the reinforcement bracket to the first and second frame members and thereby couple the first and second frame members together.

An improved laminated staple (1) comprising a steel sheet bent as a V in a central portion thereof so as to form a central edge (12), two central walls (10, 20) diverging outwards from said central edge (12) and defining a first angle () therebetween, and a pair of ribs (30, 40) each extending laterally from said central walls (10, 20). The central walls (10, 20) and the ribs (30, 40) define a second angle () therebetween, which has a greater width than the width of said first angle ().

Hanging apparatus

A hanging apparatus that includes a frame, a stack, and a bracket. The frame has a front surface, a rear surface opposite the front surface, and an inner surface that defines a display opening. The frame may also have a rabbet defined by a horizontal surface and a vertical surface of the inner surface of the frame and a channel may be formed into the vertical surface. A stack can be positioned within the rabbet of the frame. The hanging apparatus may also include one or more brackets each including a body portion including an edge having a sawtooth configuration. The bracket may also include a mounting portion that facilitates coupling the bracket to the frame by nesting the mounting portion of the bracket within the channel of the frame.
