RETAIL DISPLAY SYSTEM FOR PLANAR DISPLAY ASSEMBLIES

A retail display system is provided with a point-of-sale display unit sized to be received in a retail store aisle. A plurality of planar display panes with varying sizes and varying styles are oriented within the display unit. Mounting hardware kits are common for the plurality of planar display panes, and are oriented within the display unit, to mount the plurality of planar display planes at varying distances from an upright support surface. A plurality of frames with varying sizes and varying styles, are sized to mount about one of the plurality of planar display panes, and are oriented within the display unit. Instructional indicia are provided on the display unit to inform a customer to select at least one planar display pane and at least one frame.

Over-the-door hanging apparatus

An apparatus for hanging an article from a door. In one aspect, the apparatus can include a mounting system that can be used to hang a mirror, piece of art, or other article from a door without the need for a screw driver or any other tools. The mounting system may include one or more elongate members that are hung from a top edge of the door and that include mounting elements that mount to separate mounting elements that are secured to the article. The mounting may be achieved via one or more of relative rotation of the elongate members and the article and relative horizontal translation of the elongate members and the article. The inventive apparatus may permit multiple hanging heights for individualized optimization.

Method and apparatus for hanging sheet material

A sheet hanging device is configured to attach a sheet of material (e.g., a poster) to a substrate (e.g., a wall) without causing any damage to the sheet or the substrate. The sheet hanging device includes a magnet and a metal member disc. The metal member disc is releasably attached to the substrate via adhesive. The magnet is carried by body member, and may be attached to an insert. The sheet is secured between the magnet and the metal disc as the two are brought together to create an attraction therebetween.

POSITIVE LOCKING HANGING SYSTEM

A positive locking hanging system is specifically adapted for locking a panel to a wall. The system includes a first elongated mounting member that is configured to be mountable to a wall, and a second elongated mounting member configured to be attachable to a panel. When the first elongated mounting member and the second elongated mounting member are engaged, notches in the first and second elongated mounting members are aligned to form a locking channel. A user may lock the second elongated mounting member to the first elongated mounting member (i.e., lock the panel to the wall) by inserting a locking element into the locking channel. The locking element constrains the movement of the elongated mounting members which results in the panel being locked to the wall. As a result, this may address seismic concerns such as an earthquake, and may prevent a thief from merely removing the panel from the wall when the locking element is inserted.

WALL HANGING BRACKET

A bracket for hanging a picture frame on a supporting structure. The bracket is a one-piece member formed of plastic having a pair of legs projecting perpendicularly from a bottom surface of a base and extending at right angles with respect to each other. The legs are spaced from a peripheral edge of the base forming a V-shaped planar portion between the edge and legs. A reinforcing member extends between the pair of legs and an attachment pin mounted in the reinforcing member extends outwardly beyond a top surface of the base. A pair of securement pins in the frame legs are driven into the frame to secure the bracket in a right angle corner of the frame. A pair of attachment pins is pressed into the supporting structure to suspend the frame therefrom after two of the brackets are secured in upper right hand corners of the frame.

A hanging bracket for hanging a picture frame having at least two right angled corners on a supporting structure. The bracket is a one-piece member formed of plastic having a planar base terminating with a beveled edge formed by two straight sections and an intervening arcuate section. A V-shaped column is spaced from the beveled edge by a V-shaped planar portion of the base and extends perpendicularly from the base terminating in a V-shaped top edge with two straight legs joined at a rounded corner. A pin is embedded in the rounded corner and extends outwardly beyond the straight legs of the column. The base is inserted between the back of a canvas picture and the two adjacent frame members at each corner of the picture frame with the projecting pins being pressed into the support structure to suspend the picture frame therefrom.

DECORATIVE OBJECT INCLUDING INTEGRAL HANGING MEMBER

A decorative object and a method of hanging the same on a support surface without tools. The object includes a body having a front wall and a rear wall and a hanging member for mounting the object on the support surface is provided, where the hanging member is integral with the rear wall. The hanging member comprises a body having a shaft and a tip. The rear wall of the object is molded and the shaft and tip are molded as part of the rear wall. In other instances, the hanging member includes a base and the base is positioned to be enveloped by molding material when the rear wall is fabricated. In other instances, the base is snap-fittingly installed into a recessed region of the rear wall and is able to be pivoted between a use position and a non-use position.

HANGER BRACKET FOR USE WITH PICTURE FRAMES

A bracket for hanging a picture frame on a supporting structure. The bracket is a one-piece member formed of plastic having a pair of legs projecting perpendicularly from a bottom surface of a base and extending at right angles with respect to each other. The legs are spaced from a peripheral edge of the base forming a V-shaped planar portion between the edge and legs. A pair of attachment pins is pressed into the supporting structure to suspend the frame therefrom after two of the brackets are secured in upper right hand corners of the frame.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR HANGING AN OBJECT

An apparatus and method for hanging objects on a supporting wall includes a bracket with an outwardly extending shelf for supporting engagement with the object. A flange extends upwardly from the bracket and is secured by a fastener to the object. A marking device is removably mounted in an aperture formed in the bracket and has a sharp marking element extending therefrom. After the bracket is attached to the object by the fasteners and the marking element is positioned in the aperture, the object is pressed against the supporting wall at the desired hanging location whereupon the marking element marks the wall at the correct location for installing the hanging hardware. After the hanging hardware is installed at the marked locations, it is subsequently received in the bracket aperture after the marking element is removed therefrom to hang the object on the hanging hardware.
