Frame apparatus
A frame apparatus for displaying an article. The frame apparatus includes a frame having a rabbet and a channel having a channel axis formed into a wall of the rabbet. A stack is positioned within the rabbet for display. The stack may include a glazing, an article for display, and a backer panel. A clip member is slidably coupled to the frame within the channel such that the clip member can slide within the channel along the channel axis while remaining coupled to the frame. The clip member has a hanging feature. Thus, the clip member serves the dual purpose of securing the stack within the rabbet and also providing the hanging feature for the frame. Furthermore, the clip member functions as a built-in self-leveling feature because it can slide within the channel thus ensuring that the frame is hung in a level manner.
Hanger bracket for use with picture frames
A bracket for hanging a picture frame on a supporting structure. The bracket is a one-piece member formed of plastic having a pair of legs projecting perpendicularly from a bottom surface of a base and extending at right angles with respect to each other. The legs are spaced from a peripheral edge of the base forming a V-shaped planar portion between the edge and legs. A reinforcing member extends between the pair of legs and an attachment pin mounted in the reinforcing member extends outwardly beyond a top surface of the base. A pair of attachment pins is pressed into the supporting structure to suspend the frame therefrom after two of the brackets are secured in upper right hand corners of the frame.
Method of assembling a frame
A method of assembling a frame which includes positioning a first frame member adjacent to a second frame member, the first and second frame members having channel with a mounting surface; providing a reinforcement bracket having a plate with a front surface and a rear surface, a first mounting element extending from the rear surface of the plate, and a second mounting element extending from the rear surface of the plate; applying an adhesive along at least one of: (1) the mounting surfaces of the frame members; and (2) the first and second mounting elements of the reinforcement bracket; and positioning the first and second mounting elements into the channels and pressing the first and second mounting elements against the mounting surfaces to adhesively attach the reinforcement bracket to the first and second frame members and thereby couple the first and second frame members together.
RECONFIGURABLE MODULAR DISPLAY APPARATUSES AND SYSTEMS
A reconfigurable modular display system may include one or more display apparatuses and one or more reconfigurable modular apparatuses. A reconfigurable modular apparatus may comprise one or more joining panels, and each joining panel may have a positioning surface. A display apparatus may comprise a display surface, and the display surface may be configured to be placed in contact with printed media. Preferably, each joining panel and each display apparatus may comprise a magnetic material. The display apparatus and joining panel may each comprise a magnetic material. A display apparatus may be engaged to a positioning surface of a joining panel via magnetic attraction between the magnetic material of the joining panel and the magnetic material of the display apparatus.
Hanger and method
A method of using a hanger and marking device includes holding an article adjacent to a wall and determining the exact desired location on the wall for hanging the article; exerting pressure on the article so as to cause a support marker of the device to create a small indent in the wall at the desired location; temporarily anchoring the article to the wall with the support marker of the device; stepping back from the wall and observing the temporarily anchored article on the wall; removing the article from the wall; nailing a nail into the wall at the location marked by the device; hanging the article on the wall by mounting the device with article onto the wall-mounted nail.
WALL HANGING BRACKET
A bracket for hanging a picture frame on a supporting structure. The bracket is a one-piece member formed of plastic having a pair of legs projecting perpendicularly from a bottom surface of a base and extending at right angles with respect to each other. The legs are spaced from a peripheral edge of the base forming a V-shaped planar portion between the edge and legs. A reinforcing member extends between the pair of legs and an attachment pin mounted in the reinforcing member extends outwardly beyond a top surface of the base. A pair of securement pins in the frame legs are driven into the frame to secure the bracket in a right angle corner of the frame. A pair of attachment pins is pressed into the supporting structure to suspend the frame therefrom after two of the brackets are secured in upper right hand corners of the frame.
Method and apparatus for hanging an object
An apparatus and method for hanging objects on a supporting wall includes a bracket with an outwardly extending shelf for supporting engagement with the object. A flange extends upwardly from the bracket and is secured by a fastener to the object. A marking device is removably mounted in an aperture formed in the bracket and has a sharp marking element extending therefrom. After the bracket is attached to the object by the fasteners and the marking element is positioned in the aperture, the object is pressed against the supporting wall at the desired hanging location whereupon the marking element marks the wall at the correct location for installing the hanging hardware. After the hanging hardware is installed at the marked locations, it is subsequently received in the bracket aperture after the marking element is removed therefrom to hang the object on the hanging hardware.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR FRAMING AN OBJECT
A framing apparatus for framing an object is disclosed. The framing apparatus includes a foam frame body defining an aperture and having a frictional contact surface surrounding at least some of the aperture for frictionally engaging at least some of a peripheral surface of the object. Methods and kits are also disclosed.
Hanger for wall art
A hanger attachable to an artwork frame includes a base having an open interior and openings at each end, rim and engagement member spanning the interior of the base. A method of mounting a canvas to an artwork frame includes attaching frame members with mating beveled ends to the back of the canvas, trimming margins of the canvas, rotating the frame members and canvas margins 90 degrees such that the frame ends matingly engage one another, and securing the frame ends to one another. Loose margins of the canvas may be folded and secured to the frame and a backing member attached thereto.
