MODULAR DUVET APPARATUS AND METHODS
A modular duvet includes a first segment a second segment separate from the first segment; a first attachment device disposed on an edge of the first segment; a second attachment device disposed on an edge of the second segment. The first attachment device is configured to mate with the second attachment device to reversibly attach the first segment to the second segment to form the duvet.
Layered yarn and weighted blanket for deep pressure therapy
Disclosed is a weighted material that is configured to effectuate deep pressure therapy to a person when a piece of the weighted material is used as a blanket over the person's body. A length of layered yarn is interlooped to form the piece of weighted material. The layered yarn includes an outer tube extending longitudinally from a first end to a second end. The outer tube defines a conduit extending longitudinally therethrough from the first end to the second end. A plurality of inner layers of material are disposed within the conduit and extend longitudinally from the first end to the second end. The interlooped length of yarn, by itself, is configured and sufficiently weighted to effectuate deep pressure therapy to a person when the blanket lies over the person's body. Various other systems and methods are also disclosed.
Bedding
A system for securing an internal padding element of a doona to conform with the extent of a sheath or cover of the doona; the system including providing fastening means at least proximate the respective four corners of the internal padding element and the sheath or cover of the doona.
Thermal insulating structure
The present invention relates to a thermal insulating structure including at least one baffle, to an article of wear and a sleeping bag including such a thermal insulating structure, and to a method for manufacturing such a thermal insulating structure. In some embodiments, the baffle includes a plurality of natural and/or synthetic down fibers and a plurality of low-melt fibers, wherein the low-melt fibers have been melted to the natural and/or synthetic down fibers by heating inside the baffle.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR COMBINATION DUVET COVER AND COMFORTER
A system and method for joining a cover with a comforter are described where a cover that may include one or more pieces of fabric with two opposing interior surfaces. The two opposing interior surfaces of the cover may have a top portion and a bottom portion. One of the opposing interior surfaces, at the top and the bottom, may include a securing means for securing the interior portion of the cover to a comforter. Once the securing means are engaged, the cover is removably attached to the comforter. The cover and comforter are reversed by turning the cover-comforter inside-out such that the comforter is inside the cover. The cover is then closed using a closing means.
Composite down feather sheet with elastic webs
A composite down feather sheet is comprised of an insulating core of down feathers bound together by a chemical binding agent or binding fibers or combination thereof. The core of down feathers is of substantially constant thickness and defines opposed flat faces to which is bonded a web of stretchable elastic adhesive. The method of fabricating the composite down insulating fabric sheet is also described as well as the method of bonding the composite down insulating fabric sheet to an outer shell fabric and a liner fabric to provide a composite sheet which facilitate the manufacture of down feather insulated fabric articles.
Sleeping bag closure
A quilt usable as a sleeping bag has inner and outer sets of fasteners arranged on slanted paths from each side edge to the bottom edge and fasteners along the bottom edge. The fasteners hold the quilt in a wrapped, overlapping arrangement. With the fasteners engaged, pulling a draw cord across the quilt bottom edge gathers the bottom edge and forms a closed, wrapped footbox of the sleeping bag. A sheet for use with a sleeping bag quilt include two sets of fasteners arranged to engage corresponding fasteners on the quilt to attach the quilt to the sheet in an expanded-footbox arrangement. Pulling a draw cord across the quilt bottom edge gathers the bottom edge and forms a closed, expanded footbox of the sleeping bag.
TWO-PIECE DUVET COVER
A two-piece duvet cover including a duvet bottom sheet, a duvet top sheet and a set of connectors for reversibly coupling the duvet bottom sheet to the duvet top sheet to cover a duvet, wherein the set of connectors is configured to accommodate various sizes of duvets. In some cases, the set of connectors are configured with a variable length to accommodate various sizes of duvets. For example the set of connectors may include a tie that can be adjusted to connect at various lengths and a loop through which the tie passes before being connected.
Quilt batting materials and methods of using the same
Improved batting insert materials for quilting are provided herein. The improved batting materials are adapted to be positioned between a quilt top and quilt bottom, and the materials advantageously prevent slippage of quilt layers during stitching without the need for pinning or basting. The insert materials generally comprise a batting layer and a flannel layer secured to the batting layer. The flannel layer is adapted to be positioned abutting the quilt bottom, and it has been discovered that the interaction between the surfaces of these fabrics prevents the layers from slipping. Quilts and methods utilizing the improved batting insert materials are also provided herein.
RECONFIGURABLE COMBINATION SOLID AND PATTERNED BEDDING SYSTEMS AND MANUFACTURING PROCESSES
The present invention provides reconfigurable bedding systems generally including one or more bedding components such as a duvet, duvet cover, comforter, quilt, pillow shams, or sheets such as a fitted sheet, at least one flat sheet, and a plurality of pillow cases. According to some example embodiments, each component of the bedding system is manufactured so that half of the component is a uniform color, a solid portion, and the other half includes a pattern, a patterned portion. The components can be arranged in a variety of layouts with either the solid portion or pattern portion of each component visible.
