Bedding and bedding cover sheet
A bedding includes: a cushion layer which is formed with a filament three-dimensional bonded member and which is breathable; a breathable water-repellent layer which is provided on the upper side of the cushion layer and which is breathable and water-repellent; and a breathable water-retentive layer which is provided on the upper side of the breathable water-repellent layer and which is water-retentive and is breathable during water retention.
Single use protective cover for patient transport device
A single-use protective cover for patient transport devices is disclosed. Said protective cover is fitted to the patient transport device and can integrate a Mylar® layer to help maintain a patient's body temperature. Additionally an outer layer can be incorporated into the protective cover to enclose the patient and provide another barrier to contain fluids. Said layer can also incorporate active heating or active cooling pads and seat belt covers to prevent contamination of the patient transport device.
Antimicrobial fibers
The invention provides an antimicrobial fiber which exhibits excellent antimicrobial properties even without the addition of antimicrobial agents and can remain antimicrobial even after repeated washing. The antimicrobial fiber comprises a fiber having on a surface thereof a polyacetal copolymer (X) containing oxyalkylene groups, the molar amount of oxyalkylene groups in the polyacetal copolymer (X) being 0.2 to 5 mol % relative to the total of the molar amount of oxymethylene groups and the molar amount of oxyalkylene groups.
Proliferated thread count of a woven textile by simultaneous insertion within a single pick insertion event of a loom apparatus multiple adjacent parallel yarns drawn from a multi-pick yarn package
A method includes forming a multi-pick yarn package through winding multiple oriented yarns onto a spool. The multiple oriented yarns serve as weft yarns forming adjacent substantially parallel yarns wound together, and each of the multiple oriented yarns is formed through drawing each of multiple synthetic yarns from a corresponding supply package. The method also includes simultaneously inserting the weft yarns in a single pick insertion event of a pick insertion apparatus of a loom apparatus in which the simultaneously inserted weft yarns are to be conveyed through a set of warp yarns to produce an incremental length of a woven textile fabric.
Bed with Negative Space
A bed defining a negative space to accommodate side sleepers and stomach sleepers by providing a space into which the user's arms and shoulders can extend. Channel pillows can be placed inside the negative space to provide support for the user's head while allowing the user's hands and shoulders to slide in between the channel pillow and the wall that define the negative space. The negative space is formed into a foundation having an upper torso region, a lower torso region, and a transition region therebetween. The transition region can comprise an angled wall. A cushion layer with a slanted wall is configured to cover the transition region and lower torso region of the foundation. An upper, comfort layer can be provided with a cutout that aligns with the negative space when placed on top of the foundation and cushion layer.
Selective abrading of a surface of a woven textile fabric with proliferated thread count based on simultaneous insertion within a single pick insertion event of a loom apparatus multiple adjacent parallel yarns drawn from a multi-pick yarn package
A method includes drawing each multiple partially oriented polyester yarn from a corresponding supply package to form an oriented polyester yarn as a single multi-filament polyester weft yarn, inserting the multi-filament polyester weft yarn during a single pick insertion event of a pick insertion apparatus of a loom apparatus through winding the multi-filament polyester weft yarn on a single-pick yarn package, and conveying at least two of the multi-filament polyester weft yarn across a warp shed of the loom apparatus through a set of warp yarns in the single pick insertion event to form an incremental length of a woven textile fabric having a first surface with a majority of ends of the warp yarns and a second surface with a majority of picks of the multi-filament polyester weft yarn thereon. The method also includes solely abrading the second surface to provide for comfort to a user during contact therewith.
Sleeping bedsheet crash protection system for lie-flat sleeping passenger
A sleeping occupant crash protection system includes an occupant sleeping compartment positioned within an autonomous vehicle. A substantially flat platform of the occupant sleeping compartment supports an occupant reclining in a horizontal sleep position. An elastic bedsheet is positioned in direct contact with an upper surface of the platform positioned between the occupant and the platform. A sensing system is in communication with the occupant sleeping compartment and triggers deployment of a bedsheet displacement system during a vehicle rapid deceleration event.
APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR HEATING OR COOLING A BED BASED ON HUMAN BIOLOGICAL SIGNALS
Introduced are methods and systems for an adjustable bed device configured to: gather biological signals associated with multiple users, such as heart rate, respiration rate, or temperature; analyze the gathered human biological signals; and heat or cool a bed based on the analysis.
Sheet securing devices and methods of use
In some examples, a method of cleaning a fitted sheet having four corners and an interior pocket, includes holding a fitted sheet from a center and allowing the four corners to dangle from the center so that the fitted sheet extends between a closed end at the center and an open end adjacent the four corners, coupling a securing device to the fitted sheet adjacent the open end to eliminate access to at least a portion of the interior pocket, placing the fitted sheet and the securing device in at least one of a washer and a dryer, removing the fitted sheet from the at least one of the washer and the dryer, and decoupling the securing device from the fitted sheet.
