The air bladder apparatus is further shorter in length than the external covering, such that the air bladder apparatus is not intended to be positioned towards the back of a neck of a user that is utilizing the travel pillow apparatus. A storage apparatus with a one-way expulsion valve for storage of, for example, the aforementioned travel pillow apparatus. Methods of manufacturing and using the aforementioned apparatus are also disclosed.

A mobile computer such as tablet computer or mobile phone typically lacks built-in structure for standing up on its own. The user must hold it up by hand during use. The present invention is a pillow stand for mobile computers that may be comfortably placed on the lap of a user. It includes an outer shell enclosing a soft filler. A gripping member is positioned on the outer shell for supporting the computer in a backwardly tilting free-standing position. A stabilizing plate is positioned under the outer shell and connected to the gripping member. The stabilizing plate is engaged against the filler to spread the weight of the computer across a large enough area of the soft filler to stably support the computer. The gripping member includes a slot for receiving a lower edge of the computer. An adjusting device connected to the slot is operable to change the width of the slot and thus the tilt and viewing angle of the computer. The pillow stand also lifts the computer higher for reducing neck strain.

In addition, the signal acquisition module is placed in the neck pillow, so that the structure of the information acquisition device is more concise.

A set of metal ties may be used to join adjacent panels, securing the panels end-to-end. The panels and ties may utilize sets of holes to enable connection and size adjustment, thus preventing the apparatus from consuming too much space on the bed and simultaneously ensuring that the user's arm is comfortably supported during sleep. Shifting aligned holes in the panels and ties allows for adjustment of the diameter of the arm space. An inner padding within the arm opening created by the panels ensures that the user's arm is cushioned from the rigid panels. Similarly, an outer padding prevents the user's head from contacting the panels and ties while the user rests. Thus, the apparatus may prevent damage or discomfort to an extremity during sleep.
