Method and device for delivering viable microorganisms in seed lubricant to seed supply
A package 10 comprises a main body 12 for containing a seed lubricant; and a chamber 24 for retaining microorganisms in a viable state, wherein the main body 12 and the chamber 24 are separated by a disruptable dividing member 32, and further comprising a mechanism for disrupting the dividing member 32 such that the seed lubricant and the microorganisms may be blended just prior to deployment on a seed planter and wherein the main body 12, the chamber 24 and the disrupting member form an integral package suitable for providing the blend of seed lubricant and viable microorganisms to seeds in a seed planter.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR DELIVERING BIOLOGICAL MATERIAL TO LIQUID MEDIUM
A device for delivering biological material includes a capsule including a cap portion to removably secure the capsule to a container and an elongate portion including a cavity with a frangible bottom, where the cavity includes biological material therein. The device further includes a plunger including walls defining an internal volume of the plunger, where the walls are moveable along an inner surface of the capsule when the plunger is depressed, and a shaft disposed within the internal volume and connected to a second end of the plunger, where the shaft includes a disrupting mechanism at a first end of the plunger for breaking the frangible bottom when the plunger is depressed. The first end of the plunger extends within the cavity of the capsule, and the second end of the plunger extends outward from the cavity and the elongate portion of the capsule.

Method for controlling pathogens and/or preventing diseases resulting from the presence of the pathogens in and/or on seeds
A method for the control of pathogens and/or the prevention of diseases associated with the presence of said pathogens in and/or on seeds, said method comprising the steps of contacting the seeds with a sanitizing composition comprising at least one agriculturally acceptable sanitizing agent, water; and optionally at least one agriculturally acceptable alcohol; heating/drying the seeds at a temperature 160 F. for a period of time that prevents the core of the seeds heated to reach 158 F.; and optionally a complementary drying of the seeds at a temperature <158 F.
