A sleep aid apparatus for assisting side-sleepers is disclosed herein. The apparatus greatly reduces the amount of pressure that is typically experienced by side-sleepers on the inferior portions of their upper body and their arms. The inventive apparatus alleviates these problems by improving cervical nerve decompression, reducing pressure on the side-sleeper's spine, and improving neurovascular circulation in the side-sleeper's arms.

One embodiment of a pillow for sleeping or resting having a supportive rigid or semi-rigid bowl (10) covered on its upper concave surface with a layer or layers of fill material (20) and a cover (12) which form a ridge (14) as they extend over the rim (18) of the bowl and fasten to an attachment site (16) on the lower convex surface of the bowl. The upper surface of the pillow receives the head of an individual securely and the pillow is capable of tilting in unison with the movement of the head in a plurality of directions to facilitate movement. The ridge of fill material provides comfort and gentle attenuation of the range of tilt of the pillow. Other embodiments are described as shown.

A pillow that contains an item, such as a gift, wherein the pillow can be opened to access the gift. The pillow includes an aesthetic external appearance. This appearance may be provided by a printed covering that is disposed on the outside surface of the pillow. The pillow preferably includes one or more closure mechanisms, such as one or more zippers. Tethers may be provided on the closure mechanism(s), and piping may be included on the covering. The piping not only effectively hides the teeth of the closure mechanism (s), but also improves the look and style of the exterior of the pillow. A flap and tassels may instead be provided on the pillow. Given that the pillow is configured to contain an item, is configured to be opened to remove the item, is configured to be closed once the item has been removed, and has a decorative external appearance and/or brand recognition appearance, the pillow is unique in that it doubles as both packaging and a throw pillow useable after the item has been removed.

An anti-snoring pillow that aims to prevent simple snoring and sleep apnea that occurs when lying on back and/or sleeping with lying faces downwards, has a face cavity opened on the surface of the pillow body, allowing the pillow to remain stable and the people to breathe while lying on the face, and wherein the face cavity has a face pad in the pillow body which distributes the weight of the head to the parts touching the face when lying face downwards and takes the shape of the face.

A pillow has a supporting structure and a cushion. The supporting structure is made of composite materials and is pre-stressed and resiliently bended. The cushion is resilient and covers the supporting structure. With the supporting structure and the cushion, the pillow provides two-stage resilient support. When a user rests his head on the pillow, the cushion is compressed easily at first, and then the supporting structure being resiliently bended provides sufficient support to the cervical spine of the user, making the cervical spine of the user rest in natural relaxation when the user rests on the pillow.

Embodiments of the invention relate to a customizable pillow apparatus. Typically, the customizable pillow apparatus comprises an outer shell and a support filler assembly contained within the outer shell. The support filler assembly comprises a plurality of support layer components arranged in a first configuration with each support layer component being structured to provide predetermined support characteristics. The support filler assembly is structured to be transformed from a disassembled mode to an assembled mode by rotating a first support layer of the plurality of support layers in a first direction such that the rotated first support layer at least partially overlaps a second support layer to form the first configuration. Moreover, arrangement, ordering, and positioning of the plurality of internal layer components is easily adjustable. The customizable pillow apparatus is configured to be modified into a second configuration from the first configuration to provide targeted support to the user.

A pocket spring unit comprising a plurality of pocket springs each comprising a coil spring and a pocket. Each of the pockets comprise top portion and bottom portions. The present disclosure concerns a plagiocephaly pillow assembly for preventing deformational plagiocephaly of a head of an infant. The plagiocephaly pillow assembly comprises a first resilient layer with a first set of depressions formed therein and a second resilient layer superposable onto the first resilient layer and comprising a top surface configured to support a portion of the head of the infant, a second set of depressions being formed in the second resilient layer. At least some of the depressions of one of the first and second sets of depressions are at least partially offset with regards to the depressions of the other of the first and second sets of depressions when the first and second resilient layers are superposed onto each other. The present disclosure also concerns a plagiocephaly prevention set and a method for preventing deformational plagiocephaly of a head of an infant.
