Hollow tubular center bulging foam spring
A hollow tubular foam spring having a plurality of radially extending holes extending from an outer surface towards a central hollow core. The tubular foam spring is arranged with wall thickness and diameter to height ratios such that center bulging is achieved under compressive loads. In an embodiment, such as in a mattress, seat, cushion or pillow, springs are arranged in an array whereby some impinge upon one another due to central bulging.
Coated open-cell polyurethane foam structures with thermal absorption capabilities
The present disclosure provides for a coated flexible open-cell polyurethane foam structure. The coated flexible open-cell polyurethane foam structure includes a flexible open-cell polyurethane foam having a first major surface and a second major surface opposite the first major surface. The coated flexible open-cell polyurethane foam structure further includes a flexible heat conductive material covering 30 to 90 percent (cov., expressed in %) of a surface area of the first major surface of the flexible open-cell polyurethane foam in a predefined shape to provide one or more gaps exposing the flexible open-cell polyurethane foam between defined edges of the flexible heat conductive material, where each gap of the one or more gaps has a gap width according to Formula I: gap width (mm)≤−0.196×cov. (%)+20.6 (Formula I) where a total surface area of the one or more gaps provides 70 to 10 percent of the surface area of the first major surface of the flexible open-cell polyurethane foam.
Portable patient turning device
A portable patient turning device is provided comprising an inflatable mattress cover having a planar surface configured to substantially cover the surface of a bed, and a control unit connected to the inflatable mattress cover by one or more air hoses. The inflatable mattress cover further comprises a first inflatable chamber proximate to and extending along a left edge of the planar surface, a second inflatable chamber proximate to and extending along a right edge of the planar surface, and a spine cushion positioned between the first inflatable chamber and the second inflatable chamber and extending along a middle portion of the planar surface for at least a portion of the length of the first inflatable chamber and second inflatable chamber.
CUSHION
The present invention aims at solving a problem of providing a cushion body that, when mounted by a person, is capable of changing into various shapes along an outer contour of the person or in accordance with the person's wishes. The problem is solved by a pillow including at least a bag body, at least a part of which is stretchable; and a filler material in the bag body, wherein the pillow is used by a person, the filler material includes foam beads; a space, in which the filler material is absent, is formed in a top section of the pillow at a length of 1/10 to ⅔ of a maximum length of the pillow, when the pillow is placed upright on a floor such that a maximum length direction of the pillow becomes parallel to a direction of gravity and a peak section of the pillow is extended upward such that an area of contact between the floor and the pillow is invariable; and buttocks reach to a bottom of the pillow when the person lies down such that at least the buttocks reach to the pillow that is placed on the floor such that the maximum length direction becomes parallel.
BEAUTY PILLOW
Disclosed is a pillow for supporting a head and neck of a reclining body on a mattress where the pillow has a pillow length, a pillow width and a pillow thickness. The pillow includes a core extending with the thickness along the pillow length and the pillow width with cavities in the core, includes a core cover and includes fastening means extending into and fastening the cover at the cavity locations to form wells for supporting the head and neck with comfortable musculoskeletal position, alignment and pressure.
CONSUMER GOODS MADE WITH PIECES OF VERTICALY LAPPED NONWOVEN
Consumer products such as pillows for bedding or furniture, sack-like furniture, toppers for car seats, office seats, or household seats, and pet mattresses, are constructed from an outer casing, such as a woven or knitted fabric or a quilted fabric which may include a cushioning layer and a plurality of cut pieces of vertically lapped nonwoven material. The outer casing may be sewn closed but preferably includes a zippered opening or other opening which can be selectively opened and closed to allow the consumer to add or subtract cut pieces of vertically lapped nonwoven material from the interior volume of the outer casing. A zippered inner layer may neatly hold all of the cut pieces of vertically lapped nonwoven material together while the outer casing is changed or cleaned.
Wrinkle pillow
A wrinkle pillow, comprising two lobes each comprising a top, a bottom, and a side; a tapered indentation joining the two lobes, wherein the two lobes and the tapered indentation form an exterior comprising an hourglass shape, and further wherein the tapered indentation comprising a top, a bottom, and a side; and a filling.
SECONDARY CUSHIONING ELEMENTS FOR CUSHIONS
A cover for a cushion includes a first panel, a second panel, and a primary receptacle defined between the first panel and the second panel. The primary receptacle may receive a primary cushioning element, such as a pillow, a pillow insert, or a fill material. At least one of the first panel and the second panel includes a secondary cushioning element. The secondary cushioning element may be defined from a compressible, resilient elastomeric material that defines a plurality of thin interconnected walls that in turn define an array of open cells or columns. Each cell or column may have a hexagonal shape, imparting the array of open cells or columns with a honeycomb appearance. Methods for assembling a primary cushioning element with such a cover are also disclosed.
PORTABLE HEAD AND NECK SUPPORT PILLOW
The support pillow assembly includes a portable support pillow designed to provide optimal head and adjacent neck support for the user in upright and/or reclined seated and supine positions. The pillow is optionally configured with a hole to securely support the occiput. The pillow may be configured in a taller or shorter profile. The pillow is tapered in a manner that maintains the user's neck and head in proper alignment. The support pillow assembly is constructed of single piece foam which is firm enough and contoured to prevent head turning and neck torsion. The support pillow is optionally configured with exterior support panels to provide additional utility, compressibility, stability, and comfort. The support pillow assembly optionally includes an adjustable strap that may be used to provide supplemental support to the head. It may be collapsed into a portable pillow comprising protective exterior supports, a cloth or similarly soft bag, or a protective case.
LAYERED PILLOW SYSTEM, ADJUSTABLE PILLOW SYSTEM, AND METHODS OF USE
The present disclosure provides an adjustable curved edge pillow made up of several layers. The height of the pillow can be increased or decreased by removing or adding layers. The pillow disclosed in the present disclosure has a curved edge that makes the pillow suitable for side sleepers, back sleepers, and stomach sleepers as the pillow is rectangular in shape having one of the sides cut out in the shape of a crescent to accommodate a variety of sleeping positions. Every next layer of the adjustable curved edge pillow has a plurality of grooves on the top and the plurality of protruding notches on the bottom, both running either perpendicular or parallel to the crescent cut out where each layer fits into the notches and grooves of each other to fit the layers of the adjustable curved edge pillow together.
