Head support sleep aid
A plurality of interlocking stackable foam pillow segments together with a head and neck support and an elongated generally cylindrical resilient neck support member. The pillow segments are generally rectangular defining interlocking members which facilitate the stacking and interlock of the pillow segments in a vertical stack. The head and neck support defines a pillow resting surface and a head resting surface. The head resting surface further defines an ear clearance cavity surrounded by a face support surface. The head and neck support further includes a flexible mesh fabric ear coupling having an outer edge joined to and surrounding the face support surface and encircling the ear-receiving cavity. The ear-receiving cavity is sized to receive the user's ear into the ear coupling and is elastically constricted to close upon the user's ear between the ear and head surface to captivate the ear.
SECURABLE PILLOW
A pillow with an internal sleeve for attaching the pillow to the user, and in particular, a user's limb. The pillow may include various ornamental or aesthetic additions.
Ambient sound-isolating pillow
An integrated ambient sound-isolating pillow composed of comfortable material such as memory foam may be configured as a one-piece pillow for long term resting (e.g. overnight sleeping) use. A one-piece ambient sound-isolating pillow may include a head cradling portion that provides comfortable support for a person's head while cradling at least the sides of the person's head so that a sound-isolating portion of the pillow acts as an ambient sound shield to the person's ears.
Foam with green tea additive for foam mattresses, pillows and cushions
A method of making foam imparts antimicrobial and antiodorant qualities to the foam. Green tea powder is added to the polyol raw materials for making memory foam. The green tea memory foam is used to make pillows, cushions and mattresses. Green tea foam in the top layer of a mattress acts as an antiodorant such that less of the chemical smell of the memory foam is perceived by the user. In addition, the bacteria and mold that would otherwise develop in the moist warmer sleeping environment on memory foam are killed by the green tea additive to the foam. Measurable antimicrobial and antiodorant qualities in the green tea foam are achievable by adding green tea powder constituting less than 2% of the weight of the resulting green tea foam. A neck-support contour pillow is made using memory foam that contains green tea and a green dye.
Multi-position adjustable pillow
An multi-position adjustable pillow intended to support a user's head, neck, shoulders, lower back, legs, and/or knees is provided. The pillow may include a cover sized to fit around a plurality of support pieces, including a top support piece and one or more removable bottom support pieces. The cover includes an aperture adapted to allow at least a bottom support piece to be inserted or removed. The aperture may be securable by a zipper or other fastening means. The support pieces may be made of a soft material, such as foam. The bottom support pieces may be made of a material that is of greater density and of lower firmness than the top support piece.
PAD
This invention provides a mat, comprising: an upper surface; a lower surface; a porous structure located between said upper surface and said lower surface, said porous structure including silica gel. The mat according to this invention can be used as, for example, a pillow, seat cushion, back cushion or mattress, or part of a chair seat or chair back.
DUAL DENSITY MOLDED FOAM PILLOW
A pillow includes an inferior portion and an outer portion. The interior portion is comprised of a first flexible foam, while the outer portion is comprised of a second flexible foam having a density different than that of the first flexible foam. Methods of producing a pillow are also provided whereby either a first foam precursor is dispensed into a central portion of a mold to provided a first flexible foam, or a pre-formed foam insert comprised of a first flexible foam is placed into a central portion of a mold. A second foam precursor is then subsequently dispensed into a peripheral portion of the mold to produce a second flexible foam having a density different than that of the first flexible foam. Upon reaction and expansion of the foam precursors, a molded foam pillow is produced having dual densities.
Adjustable Pillow
An adjustable pillow includes a pillow cover having a plurality of removable pillow layer inserts. The pillow layer inserts can be of various thicknesses and firmnesses to permit adjustment for overall pillow height, overall firmness, and surface firmness upon insertion into the pillow cover. The total height of the pillow depends on the total height of the various inserts being used, the overall firmness depends on whether the inserts are soft, medium, or hard, and the surface firmness depends on the firmness of the topmost inside layer. To avoid movement of the inserts relative to each other while sleeping, at least one portion of each of the inserts is removably attachable to a corresponding portion of at least one other insert.
AWAKENING APPARATUS
An apparatus for alerting a sleeping subject, the apparatus has a wireless device that stores an application program configurable for control of the apparatus; and a pillow that is configured to be in signal communication with at least the wireless device. The pillow has a charge storage source for storing electrical energy; a control processor that is configured with a set of encoded instructions for maintaining communication between the wireless device and the pillow; and one or more actuators configured to receive a signal from the control processor and respond to provide an awakening stimulus to the sleeping subject.
Support element and method for its realisation
A support element, for example a plate, a mattress, a pillow, a seating plane of a chair, of an armchair, a saddle for vehicles and the like, equipped with a resting surface for a user, includes at least one first layer in gel associated with at least one second layer of different material; such a first layer in gel and such a second layer, that are associated, are crossed by through openings that are suitable for the proper circulation of air from one side to the other of the support element, so as to allow the optimal transpiration and thermal regulation of the parts of the body of the user positioned resting on the support element itself.
