An upright sleep system includes a base pillow and a top pillow. The base pillow includes a tapered shape, including a top edge having a top edge thickness and a bottom edge having a bottom edge thickness less than the top edge thickness. A user may rest his or her head against the top pillow or base during use, and the base pillow supports both the top pillow and the user's torso and arms. By utilizing the upright sleep system the users head, neck, chin, torso and arms can be supported. The base pillow and tether provide a stable support for the top pillow to prevent the top pillow from becoming dislodged while the user rests. A base passage in the base pillow is shaped to receive a user's arm or arms to further enhance comfort and support. In some embodiments, the base and top pillow include an inflatable chamber.

The present disclosure is a pillow/headrest designed to keep a user cool and comfortable when sunbathing, using a tanning bed or reclining near a pool, a beach, a lake, adapted for use at the beach, or pool side, where such pillow includes a water absorbent cover for use in or near water. The pillow system comprises a housing in a generally rectangular configuration having a top surface and a bottom surface with a front edge and a rear edge and side edges. The pillow utilizes an inflatable bladder and water absorbent material such as, terry cloth to give comfort to the user.

An improved structure of an inflatable cushion includes: a top layer constituting a surface of the inflatable cushion, a bottom layer constituting an undersurface of the inflatable cushion, and a side layer constituting a circumference of the inflatable cushion such that the inflatable cushion defines an interior space. Longitudinal stretch bands and lateral stretch bands are arranged in the interior space in such a way that portions of the longitudinal stretch bands are jointed to the top layer to form first connection sections and portions of the lateral stretch bands are jointed to the bottom layer to form second connection sections. The lateral stretch bands and the longitudinal stretch bands intersect each other and the first connection sections and the second connection sections oppose each other in a vertical direction.

According to the present invention, switching of the monitoring images matching the intention of the observer can be automatically performed for images from a plurality of image capturing apparatus, and the load about the job of the observer can be reduced. The image monitoring apparatus includes an estimating unit configured to estimate attention degrees of a user for a plurality of images acquired from the plurality of image capturing apparatuses, a designating unit configured to designate one of the acquired images as an image to be displayed in accordance with an instruction from the user, a learning unit configured to cause the estimating unit to learn so as to increase an attention degree of the designated image, and a selecting unit configured to select one of the plurality of images based on an attention degree of each estimated image.

The present disclosure provides padded sleeves, such as sleeves including a pillow-type padded area convenient for use by travelers, and methods of making and using same.

A pillow 10 has two side panels (15A, 15B), an inner wedge (20) positioned between and connected to the two side panels, a mesh (25), and at least one valve stem (30). The inner wedge is enclosed by the side panels and the mesh. When the side panels and the inner wedge are inflated they become rigid and hold the mesh taut. The mesh allows air to circulate around the head of the user when the user lays his or her head on the pillow. There may be a single valve stem, in which case there are passageways between the side panels and the inner wedge to allow air to flow between them. There may also be two or three valve stems, and one or no passageways.

A pillow cover is provided that includes a first panel and a second panel perimetrically joined with the first panel such that inner surfaces of the first and second panels define a cavity having a void volume. The first and second panels are each made from a first material. An opening extends through the inner surface of the first panel and an outer surface of the first panel. The pillow cover includes a patch covering the opening. The patch is made from a second material that is different than the first material.

A support comprising a first pillow having a first pillow body comprising a first arm and a second arm, a second pillow comprising a third arm and a fourth arm, the first and third arms being attached to a first joint, and the second and forth arms being attached to a second joint wherein the first and second pillows can be rotated about the joints and optionally the joints are extendable to allow the relative angle and separation of the pillows to be varied. The support provides a user with myriad options for positioning the pillows and supporting their upper body, particularly during long periods of sitting upright, such as during travel in an aircraft or bus.

A travel pillow includes a pliable body which conforms to a user's shoulder and neck, and an anchor which extends from a forward portion of an outer surface of the body to a rearward portion thereof. Opposite ends of the anchor include connectors, each connector adapted to releasably hold one end of a strap. By positioning the body on one shoulder of the user, adjacent to the head, and with one end of the strap removably connected to a rearward portion of the body, the user may extend the other end of the strap around his/her torso and firmly hold the strap, so as to apply a pulling force on the anchor via the strap. This pulling force applied via the strap and the anchor enables the pillow to remain in place to support the head of the user.

A pillow with a head zone for providing a generally flat cushion means interposed between a user's head and a surface upon which said user is resting; and two wings, configured to extend away from a center-line of the head zone towards wing ends, such that the deflated pillow is substantially U-shaped in the plane of the pillow. The head zone is substantially thinner than the wings. The pillow comprises an inflatable bladder removably received within a fabric cover, the bladder comprising two sheets of flexible material, joined together to define a space, suitable for inflating to provide a cushioned support and comprising wing portions for providing support in the wings of the pillow, and a channel, defined between the sheets of flexible material, configured to connect the wing portions, and positioned at a point in the head zone remote from the wing ends.
