The pillow may receive, from a user device, one or more commands for adjusting an operating temperature of a heating element located inside an outer covering of the pillow. A power cord coupled to the heating element may be at least partially enclosed by a tubular shroud external to and coupled to the outer covering. The pillow may adjust the operating temperature of the heating element based on receiving the one or more commands.

The coated flexible open-cell polyurethane foam structure includes a flexible open-cell polyurethane foam having a first major surface and a second major surface opposite the first major surface. The coated flexible open-cell polyurethane foam structure further includes a flexible heat conductive material covering 30 to 90 percent (cov., expressed in %) of a surface area of the first major surface of the flexible open-cell polyurethane foam in a predefined shape to provide one or more gaps exposing the flexible open-cell polyurethane foam between defined edges of the flexible heat conductive material, where each gap of the one or more gaps has a gap width according to Formula I: gap width (mm)≤−0.196×cov. (%)+20.6 (Formula I) where a total surface area of the one or more gaps provides 70 to 10 percent of the surface area of the first major surface of the flexible open-cell polyurethane foam.

A head cooler includes a main body, a pillow, and a connector. The main body sends out a liquid for circulation between the main body and the pillow through the connector. The main body includes a temperature adjuster that adjusts a temperature of the liquid, a pump that sends out the liquid toward the pillow, and a controller that controls the temperature adjuster and the pump to adjust a temperature of the pillow at a first target temperature of 22 to 24° C. until an elapsed time from start of cooling reaches a target time of 200 to 250 minutes.

The textile layer has a cooling surface, an opposing surface opposite the cooling surface, and at least one vent disposed adjacent to an edge portion of the first or second rectangular portion. The gel layer contains a plurality of hexagonal prism-shaped peaks and valleys on the outside surface thereof, and the gel layer and memory foam layer have a plurality of air conduits for air flow communication with the vent.

Methods of producing a pillow are also provided whereby either a first foam precursor is dispensed into a central portion of a mold to provided a first flexible foam, or a pre-formed foam insert comprised of a first flexible foam is placed into a central portion of a mold. A second foam precursor is then subsequently dispensed into a peripheral portion of the mold to produce a second flexible foam having a density different than that of the first flexible foam. Upon reaction and expansion of the foam precursors, a molded foam pillow is produced having dual densities.
