Advantageously, with the subject invention, a pillow is provided allowing for lateral ventilation between opposing panels. This permits a cooling effect while a user is resting or sleeping.

A pillow including a pillow-liner having an upper liner, a lower liner, and at least one middle liner. The upper liner, lower liner, and at least one middle liner are sealed together adjacent peripheral edges thereof to define an open end and at least two internal compartments. Embodiments of cradle frames and cushions are described herein. A cradle frame includes a connection assembly, a support assembly, an adjustment assembly, and a gear assembly. The connection assembly is configured to couple the cradle frame to a structure. The support assembly includes two side sections, and a middle section that is curved downward and positioned substantially between the two side sections. The adjustment assembly is coupled to the support assembly for adjusting the positioning of the support assembly. The gear assembly is coupled to the adjustment assembly for controlling the positioning of the support assembly. A cushion has a contoured upper side, and one or more opening in the middle part of the cushion on the underside.

In one aspect, a system and method are provided herein in support of selecting bedding. The system includes a plurality of differently configured pillows; and, a plurality of pillow cover napkins each configured to rest upon one of the pillows in acting as a cleanliness barrier for a person's head resting on the pillow. Advantageously, the system allows for a user to sample various bedding, including mattresses and/or pillows, in a hygienic manner. In particular, the system allows for a user to select a pillow from the differently configured pillows which is suited to one's preferences to use in sampling various mattresses. The napkin is placed by the user atop the selected pillow in sampling the mattresses. The napkin acts as a cleanliness barrier between the user's head and the sampled bedding. A person's comfort level in sampling mattresses and/or pillows may be heightened in this manner.
