In one embodiment, a stabilization pillow includes a top surface and a bottom surface, and a bottom padding portion, where the bottom padding portion protrudes relative to the bottom surface to offset mattress deformation caused by a user’s weight on a mattress.

The customizable pillow apparatus is configured to be modified into a second configuration from the first configuration to provide targeted support to the user.
