Incrementally-sized standard-sized eating-ware system for weight management
An incrementally-sized Standard-Sized eating-ware system and process comprise a plurality of formulas to establish and assign Standard Sizes to eating-ware. The Standard Sizes are based on a series of incrementally-sized flat surfaces, and the flat surfaces establish the basis for total volumetric capacity equivalents. The total volumetric capacity equivalents comprise volume inside the eating-ware and directly above the eating-ware. The Standard Sizes are used as a guide to control amount and rate of food consumed. The incrementally-sized Standard-sized eating-ware system and process provide a plurality of incrementally-sized Standard-Sized eating-ware components having successively decreasing Standard Sizes appointed to be utilized in a graduated manner over a period of time and deployed during intervals to provide gradual and unnoticeable food adjustment. The system and process enable the user to modify his/her eating habits for effective weight management while minimizing the perception of change and thereby the emotional impact and/or feelings of deprivation. Numerical and letter representations of Standard Size and Calorie Density Mark are used to guide the user in selecting eating-ware components in order to maintain, prevent, increase and/or decrease weight.
Container for Storing, Displaying, and Serving Produce
A container for storing, displaying, and serving fresh produce that extends the shelf life without refrigeration. The container includes a bottom tray, a slotted tray, a vertical extending wall, a cover, and a light source. The slotted tray sits above and nests within the bottom tray. The vertical wall removably extends from the bottom tray to form a compartment defined by the vertical wall and the bottom and slotted trays for fresh produce. The cover sits on the vertical wall enclosing the compartment. The light source shines light into the compartment.
DRINKING OR EATING VESSEL
There is provided a drinking or eating vessel comprising an inner surface that defines a volume for receiving liquid or solid food and an outer surface that supports a polymeric coating and a decorative layer, wherein the polymeric coating comprises a polymer formed by curing a coating mixture on the outer surface of the drinking or eating vessel, said coating mixture comprising a matting agent, wherein the polymeric coating has an inner surface in contact with the drinking or eating vessel and an outer surface in contact with the decorative layer, and wherein the decorative layer comprises a dry toner image applied to the outer surface of the polymeric coating. Also provided is a corresponding process for producing the drinking or eating vessel.
Reinforcement training apparatus
A system provides behavior therapy by including separate compartments, where one compartment holds an object visibly positioned as a reward for clearing an objective. The system includes a first receptacle. A second receptacle is coupled to the first receptacle. The second receptacle includes a compartment for receiving the object. Access to the compartment in the second receptacle is obstructed by a wall of the first receptacle. The apparatus further includes a magnetic lock. Access to the compartment in the second receptacle is provided in the event the magnetic lock is opened. The system further includes a magnetic key including a third magnet. When the magnetic key is placed proximate to the magnetic lock, the third magnet displaces the first magnet from the magnetic attraction to the second magnet to open the magnetic lock.
Methods, system and apparatus to improve motivation and control when taking meals and to automate the process of monitoring nutrition
A meal consumption monitoring and control system is disclosed. The system includes a flat profile scale serving as a coaster for a plate, a cup, or a glass enabled with Bluetooth or other type of wireless connectivity. The scale is connected to an accompanying mobile application installed on a mobile device. The mobile application is connected to the accompanying server-side cloud bases software application. The method for motivating children to consume meal in whole and without significant interruptions includes displaying a children content on the mobile device during the meal consumption, pausing the content when there is a significant delay registered in the meal consumption process, and resuming the content and/or providing certain awards to the child when the child resumes taking meal. The method for automatically controlling the consistency of the eater's nutrition includes collecting meal descriptions and weight data at every meal taking session, and storing the collected data on the cloud for further access by the eaters and/or their parents/guardians.
Configurable Food Trays and Modular Containers
A disposable or reusable food base tray and plurality of container modules is disclosed which allows the user to both hold food directly in compartments on the base tray and configure a plurality of similar or different food and beverage container modules selected by the user to securely fit the compartments on the surface of the base tray. Container modules include but are not limited to bowls, compartmented container modules, cups including standard cup sizes, different size cup holders, platters and other container modules. The food base tray provides a way for users to add a greater variety of foods to the tray while keeping foods separate, to adapt the tray for a plurality of non-solid foods such as soups and beverages and to easily carry all food container modules securely. An additional feature includes the use of stacking container modules that allow stacking of an additional tray securely on top of said stacking container modules. An additional feature includes unique identifiers on base trays and container modules so that users can readily identify which items belong to the user. An additional feature is themed identifiers to make it easier to remember multiple container identifiers. An additional feature is educational or entertaining depictions and text on the base tray and container modules.
FOODWARE SYSTEM HAVING VISUAL-STIMULATING, SENSING, HEATING, AND WIRELESS-COMMUNICATION COMPONENTS
An active foodware system includes a mechanical structure and provides visual stimuli, heating of food, and wireless communication by having a power source, a visual stimulating component, a heating component, and a wireless communication component. Other components can provide sensing, data processing, as well as auditory and haptic stimuli. The mechanical structure can be a single unit where the components and circuitry are all contained in the unit and protected from water, or can be two units: an upper food surface for receiving food, and an underplate comprising components and circuitry.
