A waste-receptacle liner; the waste-receptacle liner includes a bag-body having an inner-volume and an outer-shell. The outer-shell includes at least one functional decorative indicium thereon. Further, the waste-receptacle liner may be provided in a supply-kit for an event such as a birthday party, anniversary, etc. The waste-receptacle liner is useful for providing a decorative trash bag for matching a theme of a party and such that a party can be readily recognizable to attendees and maintenance personnel.

A dining plate unit includes a visual stimulating component to provide light emanating from the dining plate unit, means for sensing various conditions related to the dining plate, and/or means for wirelessly communicating the sensed data, means for wirelessly transferring power, or means for generating sound. The dining plate unit can be a single component where the device and related circuitry are all contained in the unit, or it can be at least two components: an upper translucent dining plate, and a mating underplate including the devices and circuitry for directing light through the upper translucent dining plate.

Compartments for relatively unhealthful items may be configured to make the portion sizes of those items appear to be larger than they are, while compartments for healthful items may be configured to make the portion sizes of those items appear to be smaller than they are. The tray may also be configured to ensure that healthful items are positioned closest to an individual who is eating from the tray. Methods for presenting food to an individual are also disclosed.

A vessel includes a first side and a second side, wherein at least a portion of the vessel is at least partially transparent. A plurality of brackets is coupled to the second side of the vessel. The plurality of brackets is configured to detachably retain a support base to the vessel. The support base is configured to retain an image between the support base and the second side of the vessel for allowing the image to be viewed though the portion of the vessel that is at least partially transparent. Each of the plurality of brackets has a lip portion made of a flexible material and configured to removeably retain the support base.

There is provided a drinking or eating vessel comprising an inner surface that defines a volume for receiving liquid or solid food and an outer surface that supports a polymeric coating and a decorative layer, wherein the polymeric coat- ing comprises a polymer formed by curing a coating mixture on the outer surface of the drinking or eating vessel, said coating mixture comprising a matting agent, wherein the polymeric coating has an inner surface in contact with the drinking or eating vessel and an outer surface in contact with the decorative layer, and wherein the decorative layer comprises a dry toner image applied to the outer surface of the polymeric coating. An illuminated eating utensil and container system includes a plurality of utensils. Each of the utensils includes a handle that is translucent. A head is attached to a first end of the handle. A light emitter is mounted at a juncture of the head and the handle and is directed towards a second end of the handle. The light emitter illuminates the handle when the light emitter is turned on. A battery is mounted in the head and is electrically coupled to the light emitter.

A meal consumption monitoring and control system is disclosed. The system includes a flat profile scale serving as a coaster for a plate, a cup, or a glass enabled with Bluetooth or other type of wireless connectivity. The scale is connected to an accompanying mobile application installed on a mobile device. The mobile application is connected to the accompanying server-side cloud bases software application. The method for motivating children to consume meal in whole and without significant interruptions includes displaying a children content on the mobile device during the meal consumption, pausing the content when there is a significant delay registered in the meal consumption process, and resuming the content and/or providing certain awards to the child when the child resumes taking meal. The method for automatically controlling the consistency of the eater's nutrition includes collecting meal descriptions and weight data at every meal taking session, and storing the collected data on the cloud for further access by the eaters and/or their parents/guardians.

A system for assisting a user in selecting food types for a balanced meal is disclosed. The system comprises a plate having a plurality of food type segments. Each of the food type segments is associated with a particular one of the food types.

A multi-chamber container with an educational function. The multi-chamber container is designed to provide a housing, with a sidewall extending between a bottom wall and a top wall, that can store food or beverage substances therein. The housing includes a primary chamber and at least one secondary chamber. The primary chamber is accessible via a primary opening, while each secondary chamber is individually accessible via a secondary opening. The container provides an educational function in that the primary chamber stores a desired liquid or solid material and the secondary chamber is empty. The primary and secondary openings are indistinguishable to the consumer until opened from a closed state. The selection of the primary opening corresponds to a correct answer to a question displayed on, or associated with, the container.
