The plate with integrated heating system is a crockery item. The plate with integrated heating system is adapted for use with a foodstuff. The plate with integrated heating system serves the foodstuff for consumption. The plate with integrated heating system is an electrically powered device. The plate with integrated heating system heats the foodstuff that is served on the plate with integrated heating system. A cooling and heating plate, in particular for serving food and beverages, is connected to a cooling unit and an electrical heating device, preferably a silicone panel heater, is also provided on the under side of the plate. The plate is a multilayered plate having an upper plate, preferably of chrome nickel steel, and an aluminum plate situated thereunder. At least one steel pipe, which is preferably seamless with serpentine curves, having a compressive strength of at least 50 bar is integrally cast in the aluminum plate. The disclosed technology relates to heated or cooled dishware, drinkware, or serverware that may include, among other features, a food safety system that indicates through a user interface when food or liquid in the device is no longer safe to consume. In one example, the device may be controlled by the user to achieve different temperatures, and may have other safety features such as auto-shut off when food or liquid is no longer present, or when the device is tilted or upside down. In certain implementations, the device may be charged directly, or wirelessly via inductive coupling. Further, according to some aspects, multiple devices may be charged at once through the charging system.

An actively heated mug has a body with a chamber that can receive and hold a beverage and a heating element to actively heat the chamber, batteries, and circuitry that controls the operation of the heating element. A user interface is electrically connected to the circuitry and has one or more buttons actuatable a) to turn on the heating element, b) to adjust a temperature setting to one of multiple temperature settings to control the operation of the heating element to heat or maintain the liquid at a user selected temperature setting, and c) to turn off the heating element.
