A retention device for a vessel has a bottom portion affixed to a serving vessel with a first magnet contained therein, and a holder having a recess formed into a top surface and having a second magnet at a bottom of the recess, wherein the recess is formed in a size, shape and depth for receiving and releasably retaining the bottom portion through mutual attracting of the first and second magnets. In optional embodiments, the bottom portion may comprise a coaster, and the vessel may comprise a beverage tumbler. In other embodiments, the vessel may include a beverage glass, a mug, a stein, a plate, a cup or a bowl, and the holder's magnetic recesses may be formed in a tray, a table, a bar, a counter top, a shelf, a platter, a chair arm, or a cutting board.

A food holding device includes a receptacle member having a body and a surrounding wall for containing food. A flexible strap is attached to the receptacle member. One end of the strap is connectible to secure the receptacle around an object (e.g., a thigh of a child). The flexible strap has ends that are configured for releasable connection (e.g., using hook and loop material). The ends can overlappingly connect to secure the receptacle to the child. The strap can be attached to the receptacle member in a number of ways, and may be removable. A liner and/or a closure device (e.g., lid or drawstring) may be used with the device. The receptacle member can receive and hold a container or a pre-packaged item. The receptacle member can be a pre-packaged item itself with an attached or attachable strap. One or more parts of the device can be disposable and/or reusable.

A food holding device includes a receptacle member having a body and a surrounding wall for containing food. A flexible strap is attached to the receptacle member. Semiconductor wafer carriers, methods for manufacturing the semiconductor wafer carriers, and methods for using the semiconductor wafer carriers. The semiconductor wafer carriers can include features for avoiding double-slotting, for preventing glove marks on semiconductor wafers, and for providing additional sitting and storage options for the wafer carrier. In some examples, a semiconductor wafer carrier includes multiple notched left-side rods that are parallel in a vertical direction and multiple notched right-side rods that are parallel in the vertical direction. The semiconductor wafer carrier includes one or more bottom rods. The left-side rods, the right-side rods, and the one or more bottom rods are joined to define semiconductor wafer slots.

A collapsible pan tilt has two or more tilt bases connected to one another by a base hinge. The tilt bases can be relatively long and narrow members that have a flat bottom surface and an angled/tilted top surface. At a proximal end of the tilt bases can be a base hinge connecting the two or more tilt bases together. A single base hinge can connect all of the tilt bases together; alternatively, multiple base hinges can be utilized. A pan stop can be incorporated to stop the pan or other item that is placed on the tilted top surface from sliding down off of the pan tilt. A lid holder can be incorporated in the tilt bases. Additionally, one or more of the hinges can be attached at the distal ends of two or more of the tilt bases in some embodiments.

A catering shelving system is disclosed with a series of shelves in order to assist caters in transporting food from one location to another. The shelving system racks may be detachable or pivotally attached through the use of rotation mechanisms for easy break down and storage. The shelving system may accommodate a series of different types of pans of all shapes, sizes, and weights.

A carrying device and method of using the same is characterized by, in some embodiments, a central section having at least two side pieces, a central crossbar, a middle crossbar, at least one handle, at least one front post, a first platform, and a second platform, and a rear section attached to the center section wherein the rear section has at least one step-shaped unit. In some embodiments, the first platform and the second platform may swivel to accommodate a user who wishes to place the carrying device on either the user's right shoulder or left shoulder. To use the device, in some embodiments, a user may place one or more food service items on at least one of the carrying surfaces provided by the center section of the device, step-shaped unit(s), first platform, and/or second platform.
