Adsorbent composition and use thereof

The present invention provides a novel adsorbent composition for recovering biomolecules from a fluid. The composition comprises positively and negatively charged microparticles in the form of ground particles. The adsorbent is particularly useful for purification of biomolecules from the cell culture.

TRANSDERMAL PEPTIDE WITH NUCLEAR LOCALIZATION ABILITY AND USE THEREOF
20200002389 · 2020-01-02 ·

The invention relates to a transdermal peptide with a nuclear localization ability and having an amino acid sequence as shown in SEQ ID NO: 1. The invention provides a fusion protein with a nuclear localization ability, which comprises a macromolecular protein with one end being linked to the transdermal peptide. The invention also discloses the use of the transdermal peptide in the preparation of a medicament or a transdermal preparation for treating skin diseases. The invention further provides a medicament for treating a skin disease, comprising the transdermal peptide and a pharmaceutically acceptable excipient. The transdermal peptide enters the cells autonomously to locate in the nuclei, and can penetrate through the stratum corneum of the skin into cells in the dermis. The peptide is conveniently synthesized artificially and suitable for transdermal administration, and has a therapeutic potential via transdermal administration by carrying a drug for treating skin diseases.

Treatment of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)

The present disclosure relates to AAVs encoding a SOD1 targeting polynucleotide which may be used to treat amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and delivery methods for the treatment of spinal cord related disorders including ALS.

COMPOSITION FOR PREVENTING OR TREATING INFLAMMATORY DISEASES, CONTAINING, AS ACTIVE INGREDIENT STEM CELLS OVEREXPRESSING SOD3
20240075072 · 2024-03-07 ·

The present invention provides a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating inflammatory diseases, containing, as an active ingredient, stem cells overexpressing SOD3. The present inventor has ascertained that mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) overexpressing SOD3 have a stronger antioxidant activity and immune regulatory function than normal MSCs, and thus the MSCs overexpressing SOD3 can be an effective treatment agent for inflammatory diseases, autoimmune diseases, organ transplant rejection and the like.

RAAV-BASED COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR TREATING AMYOTROPHIC LATERAL SCLEROSIS

The invention relates to inhibitory nucleic acids and rAAV-based compositions, methods and kits useful for treating Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis.

TOPICAL THERAPEUTIC FORMULATIONS
20240050535 · 2024-02-15 ·

The invention provides topical compositions and methods for using the compositions. The compositions can be used for the treatment of fibrotic or connective tissue disorders involving scarring, sub-dermal plaque accumulations, or fibrosis of muscle tissue. The disorders can be painlessly treated by the topical application of a composition described herein. One or more calcium channel blocker agents can serve as an active ingredient of the compositions, optionally in combination with, for example, one or more of emu oil and superoxide dismutase. The composition can further include pharmaceutically acceptable carriers that can facilitate the non-invasive transdermal delivery of the active(s) to subdermal sites.

Chemically Defined Serum Albumin Substitutes
20240043794 · 2024-02-08 ·

Provided herein, inter alia, are chemically defined components and compositions that substitute or partially substitute for albumin in cell culture media. The components and compositions may support cell cultures, protect cells, or enhance viability of cultured cells. Further provided are chemically defined culture media supplements for use in cell culture media containing albumin. The chemically defined culture media supplements may rescue cells from albumin-induced toxicity.
