DRINKING STRAW WITH INTERNAL COATING
A drinking straw having an internal coating for delivery of an active agent when the straw is used to consume a beverage is provided. The active agent includes sweetener, flavour, a nutrient and/or a pharmaceutical and optionally colour. The coating is prepared by mixing a modified cellulose with water to form a paste or gel. The coating is then used to coat the inside surface of a drinking straw to a thickness of up to 1 mm. The coating is dried to reduce the water content to less than 5% by weight. Liquid drawn through the straw breaks down the modified cellulose releasing the active agent into the liquid, for consumption.
Antimicrobial straw
A polymeric tubular conduit including a polymeric tubular conduit wall having an outer tubular layer coaxially overlaying an inner tubular layer which defines a continuous tubular passage along a polymeric tubular conduit length of the polymeric tubular conduit; whereby the outer tubular layer, the inner tubular layer, or combinations thereof, include an amount of antimicrobial agent. The amount of antimicrobial agent can be sufficient to kill or inhibit growth of microorganisms in contact with a corresponding polymeric tubular conduit wall external surface, polymeric tubular conduit wall internal surface, or combinations thereof, of the polymeric tubular conduit wall.
DRINKING STRAWS FILLED WITH EDIBLE PARTICULATE PRODUCT
The subject of the invention relates to a drinking straw (10) that containsa tubular delimiting wall (16), which has an elongate container portion (10c) and open ends (14a, 14b) at opposing sides, a particulate product (20) disposed within the container portion (10c), which particulate product (20) contains at least one type of active ingredient for the purpose of continuous dispensing into the liquid passing through the drinking straw (10), a liquid-permeable closing element defining the container portion (10c) and retaining the particulate product (20) in the container portion (10c), the essence of which is that the particulate product (20) contains extruded particles (20a, 20b, 20c, 20d) with a homogenous structure. The subject of the invention also relates to a method for the production of such a drinking straw (10).
Disposable Combined Squeezer/Stirrer/Dispenser/Brewer Device
A disposable packaging form is provided for brewed, hot drinks. The invention allows a user to brew the hot drink, squeeze out the brewed contents, and stir the contents of the hot drink. Each action can be performed multiple times before disposal. In some embodiments, the device of the present invention dispenses sweeteners, creamers, flavorings and condiments. The present invention frees the user of the inconvenience of having to collect, wash, or dispose of the stirrers, squeezers and bags of the hot drink individually.
Drinking Straw
An apparatus and method for delivering liquids to a user from a container. The liquids are aerated during delivery of the liquid to the user. The present invention includes a flow control regulator that regulates the amount of aeration of the liquid delivered to the user and also restricts backflow of liquids through the regulator. The apparatus of the invention is particularly well suited for aerating wine while it is delivered through a drinking straw.
STRAW, TUBE, CAP, CLAMP, CONNECTOR AND ADAPTOR WITH AERATION AND PREMIXED-LIQUIDATION FEATURES
Drinking straws, tubes, caps, clamps, connectors and adaptors are provided in the form of a cylindrical member having a top portion and a bottom portion wherein the cylindrical member is provided with at least one hole having a diameter of between 0.788 (20.0 mm) and 0.0005 (0.0127 mm) and wherein the hole is disposed a distance of between about halfway of any lengths and about 0.25 (6.35 mm) from the top portion of the first hollow cylindrical member.
DRINKING DEVICE
A drinking device for the retronasal perception of an aroma substance. The drinking device comprises a storage container for drinking liquid, a head part, which can be fastened on the storage container and has a mouth end, at least one exchangeable aroma container, through which air can flow and which can be fastened on the head part, and a drinking straw, which is fixed in the head part. The drinking straw includes a transport channel for drinking liquid and an air channel for transporting aromatized air. The transport channel extends from the storage container towards the mouth end of the drinking device. The air channel extends from the at least one aroma container towards the mouth end.
DRINKING STRAW CONTAINING DEXTRIN BASED MATRIX
A paper drinking straw is designed explicitly to deliver flavorings or active ingredients, or a combination of flavorings and active ingredients to the user of the paper straw. The paper straw is lined with a dried coating designed to adhere to the unique properties of the inside of a paper drinking straw. The paper straw lining includes a combination of dextrin, low levels of food-grade acids, and low levels of cellulose gums or no cellulose gums, or a combination of these elements combined with or without an active ingredient. The lining, which optionally includes sweeteners, colorings, and/or flavorings, is prepared as a gel-like liquid that is added to the interior of the paper straw and is then dried, creating a lining within the paper straw that dissolves as the user draws water or beverage through the straw, thus delivering the flavorings and/or active ingredients to the user.
Capsule with soluble blocking element
The invention relates to a capsule comprising an inlet and an outlet connected by a passage, in which a dissolvable blocking element and a composition to be orally administered are arranged. The blocking element is fluid permeable and, in a non-dissolved condition, is arranged in the passage to block delivery of the composition to an outlet of the passage. The invention further relates to a method for releasable sealing a capsule comprising a composition to be orally administered, comprising the steps of providing the composition chamber in a passage and filling composition into the composition chamber. The passage formed by the capsule is occluded with a blocking element and the blocking element comprises dissolvable material and has a fluid permeable structure.
