Antimicrobial straw
A polymeric tubular conduit including a polymeric tubular conduit wall having an outer tubular layer coaxially overlaying an inner tubular layer which defines a continuous tubular passage along a polymeric tubular conduit length of the polymeric tubular conduit; whereby the outer tubular layer, the inner tubular layer, or combinations thereof, include an amount of antimicrobial agent. The amount of antimicrobial agent can be sufficient to kill or inhibit growth of microorganisms in contact with a corresponding polymeric tubular conduit wall external surface, polymeric tubular conduit wall internal surface, or combinations thereof, of the polymeric tubular conduit wall.
Drinking straw
The invention relates to a drinking straw comprising: a thermoplastic wall having an elongate container portion; liquid permeable closures closing off the container portion; at least one effervescent tablet disposed within the container portion such that a clearance is left between the inner side of the wall and the at least one tablet; a hygroscopic filler disposed at both sides of the at least one tablet within the container portion.
Easy Sip Straw for Individuals with Dysphagia
The present invention relates to a disposable dysphagia straw designed to enhance the safe and comfortable consumption of fluids for individuals with dysphagia. In one embodiment, the straw is comprised of a hollow tubular pipe with a proximal end and a distal end, featuring a bendable section composed of accordion-like folds. The bendable section enables users to customize the straw's angle to their preference, ensuring effortless fluid intake without strain. The straw is shorter than the conventional straws and is flexible. The straw can come in lengths from about 3.0 inches to about 7.0 inches. A mouthpiece can also be integrated to one end and a flavor coating can be added thereto. The straw reduces mouth muscle strain and ensures the user can pull liquid through a shorter straw.
DRINKING SYSTEM
A drinking system (1) is disclosed which comprises a drinking vessel (2) with a receiving chamber (3) for a liquid. A drinking straw (5) is arranged in the drinking vessel (2) and is guided into the receiving chamber (3). The drinking system (1) further comprises a fragrance reservoir (9, 9) which is loaded with fragrance and has an inflow opening (10) for air and an outflow opening (11) for fragrance-enriched air. The drinking straw (5) is connected or connectable to the outflow opening (11) in order to suck in fragrance-enriched air emerging from the outflow opening (11) of the fragrance reservoir (9). According to the invention, an injector pump arrangement (12) is provided in the drinking system (1), which injector pump arrangement (12) is connected to or integrated into the drinking straw (5) and is joined to a suction channel (8) of the drinking straw (5) by way of a main flow path which is surrounded by an outer wall, or is a component of the suction channel (8). The injector pump arrangement has a suction opening (17) which is led through the outer wall and is fluidically connected or connectable to the outflow opening (11, 11) of the fragrance reservoir (9, 9). It further comprises the following components: a drive nozzle (14), an expansion chamber (15) which is fluidically connected directly downstream of the drive nozzle (14) and into which the suction opening (17) leads, and a collector nozzle (16) which is fluidically connected directly downstream of the expansion chamber (15).
Bottling device and method
Beverage packaging and container arrangements are shown and described. In one embodiment, the device comprises a container body, hollow rod, and removable cap to provide an assembled consumable beverage arrangement. The disclosure also includes a variety of fittings and removable caps to mate with beverage containers that are useful in both storage and operating positions.
Pre-filled drinking straw with a cross-slit valve closure on both ends
The invention is characterized in that the straw body (1) is consisting of two or more segments, which are attached together with connection (5) and that the straw body (1) on its both ends has a cross-slit valve (2, 3) closure and the valves (2, 3) and the straw body (1) are integrated by molecular adhesion. The inlet and outlet valves (2, 3) are of a slit type. The straw body (1) is preferably made of a thermoplastic material and the valves (2, 3) are preferably made of elastomer material. The edge of the straw body (1) is shaped to enable larger surface of the connection between the straw body (1) and the valve (2, 3). The said shape is preferably a groove (8). On the wall on the end of the straw body (1) a tongue-shaped groove (9) is formed on the surface side.
PRE-SALTED BEVERAGE STRAW
A beverage drinking straw having a pre-salted segment for use with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages is disclosed. A method for producing the beverage straw is also described.
Oral product delivery device
An oral product delivery device and method of using same. The device comprises a main body having two opposed ends, a port coupled to and extending from the main body, a tube configured to removably couple to the port, a clip configured to removably couple to the main body, and a one-way valve disposed within the main body, below the port. The tube has a connector for removably coupling to a syringe. The clip has a flat body having two opposed ends, a flat panel, a semi-circular cut-out disposed along an end of the clip configured to removably couple to the main body, and a tear-drop shaped cut-out disposed along a middle of the clip configured to pinch the tube. The valve comprises a plurality of upper valve tabs, a lower seal, and a float positioned within the main body, between the valve tabs and the lower seal.
CONTAINER STRAW, BEVERAGE KIT, METHOD FOR PREPARING THE BEVERAGE KIT, METHOD OF USING THE BEVERAGE KIT, AND CONTAINER STRAW INTEGRATED WITH SPORTS BOTTLE
A container straw includes a tube whose first and second ends are sealed with first and second end caps, respectively, and a plurality of swellable food items sealed within the tube. The second end of the tube is angled to complementarily fit against an angled end face of the second end cap. The container straw can also be integrated into the threaded screw cap of a sports bottle having a container portion, and can include pre-loaded swellable food items in the container portion, enabling consumption of a larger quantity of s and swellable food items than with a double-ended capped container straw embodiment, as well as providing the ability to close the container as desired, to save a portion for later.
Reusable Flavor-Dispensing Lollipop Device
The present invention relates to a reusable lollipop device that enables controlled dispensing of flavored gel. The device includes a hollow, elongated straw with a cavity for holding a flavored gel. A sucking head made of a durable and porous material is removably attached to the straw's top end and features miniature apertures for controlled gel release. The sucking head includes a straw-compatible hole to secure the top end of the straw, permitting the flavored gel to flow into the head when suction or pressure is applied. A method of using the device involves inserting a flavored gel-filled straw into the sucking head, sucking on the head to create a vacuum for gel release, and applying pressure to control the flow rate.
