Adjustable garment hanger
An adjustable garment hanger is disclosed that can accommodate the width and shape of a plurality of different garments. The adjustable garment hanger includes a hanger hook body having a hanger hook leg and an adjustable extension arm having an adjustable extension leg and a retention bracket. The hanger hook leg and the adjustable extension leg are slidably disposed within the retention bracket and configured to adjust the adjustable garment hanger between a maximum length position and a minimum length position.
Single hand operated collapsing hanger
A garment hanger with particular ease of use advantage when removing or hanging crew neck or turtleneck type shirts or blouses. The hanger provides an easily manipulated and intuitive mechanism for collapsing the garment support portions of the hanger, thus allowing for simple passage through the narrow neck hole of a garment. The hanger further provides an easily manipulated and intuitive mechanism for returning the folded garment support portions to their extended and supportive positions, which can be done with the hanger enveloped within a garment, thus providing an improved means for hanging some shirts or blouses without the need to feed a hanger up through the bottom opening of the garment.
ADJUSTABLE CLOTHES HANGER ASSEMBLY
An adjustable clothes hanger assembly for adjusting a width of a clothes hanger includes a clothes hanger that is releasably suspended from a support. A pair of extensions is provided and each of the extensions is slidably coupled to the clothes hanger. Each of the extensions is positionable to extend a selectable distance away from the clothes hanger such that the clothes hanger has an adjustable width. In this way the clothes hanger can accommodate a variety of clothing sizes.
Real-time hanger orientation detection for a rail-based garment conveyor
A hanger orientation detection system determines the orientation of a hanger on a rail-based garment conveyor. To do so, the detection system continuously monitors the pivot state of a pivot arm. The pivot arm pivots between no-contact and contact pivot states. The no-contact pivot occurs when a garment hanger in a correct orientation translates past the pivot arm without contacting the pivot arm. The contact pivot state occurs when a garment hanger in an incorrect orientation translates past the pivot arm and contacts the pivot arm. Contacting the pivot arm displaces the pivot arm in a measurable manner. The sensor measures the deflection of the pivot arm to determine the pivot state. When the sensor senses that the pivot state changes from the no-contact pivot state to the contact pivot state, the detection system generates an alert signal indicating that a garment hanger is in the incorrect orientation.
