MANURE LAGOON AGITATION DEVICE
An example manure lagoon agitation device can include a spinning drum rotatably mounted to a floating frame. The spinning drum includes a plurality of blades oriented to direct material toward a center of the drum and project material outward. A moveable cover with an adjustable chute controls flow direction of projected material. The device includes lift cylinders to position the drum between storage and operating positions. The spinning drum can operate at variable speeds and depths for breaking up solids or projecting liquid. The device may include protection features like skids and pivoting flails to prevent damage from obstacles.
Animal husbandry nutrient and odor management system
A method and system to significantly reduce odor emissions caused by ammonia and other noxious gasses and reduce nitrogen levels in animal husbandry wastewater effectively and efficiently by the use of flush water that has been biochemically conditioned to lower the pH thus reducing the level of un-ionized compounds including NH.sub.3 which can volatilize into the atmosphere and which method and system can also be used to remove ammonia and nitrogen from the wastewater system. The present disclosure includes the use of flush water that has been biochemically conditioned to lower its pH thus sequestering non-ionized ammonia from being released from a liquid as ammonia gas. This disclosure relates to the new use of nitrification for biochemical conditioning of wastewater for use as flush water to reduce atmospheric ammonia emissions.
Amphibious pumping vehicle
A method of moving liquid manure in a liquid manure lagoon involves: driving an amphibious vehicle into the liquid manure lagoon by remotely controlling speed and direction of the amphibious vehicle on the ground, the amphibious vehicle having a ground-engaging propulsion structure for driving the amphibious vehicle on the ground and a floatable vehicle body to float the amphibious vehicle in the liquid manure lagoon; and, moving the liquid manure in the liquid manure lagoon by remotely controlling speed and direction of the amphibious vehicle in the liquid manure lagoon.
Amphibious pumping vehicle
An amphibious vehicle has a floatable vehicle body; ground engaging propulsion structure having a plurality of ground engaging elements; a fluid pump for pumping liquid manure; a power source configured to provide power to both the ground engaging propulsion structure and the fluid pump; and, remote control structure for controlling the ground engaging propulsion structure and a flow of fluid from the fluid pump. The speed and/or direction of the vehicle is remotely controllable by an operator remote from the vehicle when the vehicle is ground engaging and when the vehicle is floating.
Amphibious pumping vehicle
An amphibious vehicle for operation in a liquid manure lagoon, the vehicle comprising: a floatable vehicle body; a ground engaging propulsion structure; a liquid manure pump for pumping liquid manure from the liquid manure lagoon; a power source for powering both the ground engaging propulsion structure and the liquid manure pump; and, a remote control structure for controlling the ground engaging propulsion structure, the liquid manure pump and the power source.
Airtight Storage Tank and Improved Method for Anaerobic Treatment of Slurry or Whey
Airtight storage tank for the storage of manure (36) and/or whey, and an improved process for anaerobic treatment of manure (36) and whey using the same, with a transport phase (1) including a preliminary phase (2) of collection, transfer, control, treatment, and storage of manure (36) that includes waste transport, registration, and discharge into a storage tank (33), and a transport phase (1) under controlled anaerobic conditions following the preliminary phase (2), which involves discharging the contents of the storage tank (33) under anaerobic conditions into a tanker vehicle (14) and transferring (15) the volume of manure (36) removed with the tanker vehicle (14) to a predetermined location.
Airtight Storage Tank and Improved Method for Anaerobic Treatment of Slurry or Whey

Method and slurry treatment plant for reducing methane emission from slurry
Disclosed is a method for reducing methane emission from slurry produced in a livestock farm. The method comprising the steps of guiding unheated slurry from the livestock farm to a slurry heat exchanger, raising the temperature of the unheated slurry in the slurry heat exchanger to at least 65# Celsius, guiding the at least 65# Celsius hot slurry to an intermediate slurry tank, raising the temperature of the heated slurry to at least 75# Celsius in the intermediate slurry tank, guiding the at least 75# Celsius hot slurry through the slurry heat exchanger to exchange heat with the unheated slurry to raise the temperature of the unheated slurry to the at least 65# Celsius and to cool the at least 75# Celsius hot slurry to at least below 40# Celsius, and guiding the at least below 40# Celsius cold slurry to a slurry reservoir.
