COLLAPSIBLE FOOTWEAR TOOL
A multi-use footwear tool that has an attachment mechanism with two complementary pieces that can be separated to split the multi-use footwear tool into two sections. A first section of the multi-use footwear tool is an elongated shoehorn and a second section of the multi-use footwear tool is an elongated body. The elongated shoehorn has a shoehorn and the elongated body has a hook. The elongated shoehorn and the elongated body can be attached into one long multi-use footwear tool or separated into individual pieces using the attachment mechanism.
SUSPENDED SLEEVE ASSEMBLY COMPRISING A COMPRESSION SLEEVE AND A SUSPENSION STAND
A suspended sleeve assembly includes a suspension stand and a compression sleeve. An upper portion of the compression sleeve is attached onto the suspension stand, but a lower portion of the compression sleeve is unattached from the suspension stand. The suspended sleeve assembly can also include a support stand. The suspended sleeve assembly can be used to shape a prosthetic socket. The compression sleeve applies a circumferential pressure onto the prosthetic socket as the prosthetic socket is being inserted into the compression sleeve as a patient steps into the compression sleeve and applies at least a portion of body weight to the compression sleeve. The prosthetic socket can be heated and shaped by hand, so that it fits the residual limb of the patient. The suspended sleeve assembly can also be used to shape other prosthetic components, such as a negative plaster cast.
Dressing Assistance Device
A dressing assistance device. The dressing assistance device includes a base having a pair of opposing ends, a pair of vertical supports extending from the opposing ends of the base, a horizontal support disposed between an upper end of each of the vertical supports, a pair of lifting arms disposed on the pair of vertical supports in sliding engagement therewith, and a fastener disposed each lifting arm for securing a portion of a garment to the lifting arm. A motor in operative communication with each of the pair of lifting arms controls the movement of the pair of lifting arms between a first position at a lower end of the pair of vertical supports and a second position at an upper end of the pair of vertical supports. The dressing assistance device assists users when putting on a pull-up diaper or other waist-supported garment.
HANDS-FREE APPARATUS TO APPLY A LINER TO AN AMPUTATED APPENDAGE
A liner to an appendage of a user includes a base member, a bracket adjustably mounted to the base member to a desired height position, and a plurality of arms pivotably mounted to the bracket. Each arm can include a rotating member, such as a roller ball, coupled to a top end of the arm. The plurality of arms can extend from the bracket in a generally upright position and can support the liner thereon in an inside out position so that the application of downward pressure by the appendage of the user within the plurality of arms permits the arms to pivot outward, thereby allowing the plurality of arms and roller balls to slide the liner around the appendage of the user.
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR ASSISTING INDIVIDUALS WHEN DONNING AND REMOVING SOCKS
Devices and methods for assisting individuals when attempting to don or remove a sock, shoe, or other garment from their lower extremities. Such a device includes a base having a longitudinal central section, two flanges along oppositely-disposed longitudinal sides of the central section, and oppositely-disposed distal and proximal ends. The central section and the flanges define a trough that is open at the distal and proximal ends and along a longitudinal side of the base opposite the central section. A handle is coupled to and extends from the base. The handle is rigid and comprises arms attached to the base and a crossmember that connects the arms.
Shoe cover removal apparatus
An apparatus which includes a trough for receiving a user's shoe. The trough includes a removal portal. The apparatus includes a vacuum capable of causing a shoe cover to be removed from the shoe of a user when a user places a shoe covered by a shoe cover into the trough. An actuator is triggered by the placement of an object in the trough, the triggering of the actuator causing the vacuum to activate. The vacuum activation causes the shoe cover to be sucked through the removal portal and into a primary chamber. The primary chamber collects the removed shoe covers and is disposed in a remote from the trough for preventing debris and other contaminants from being stored in a clean room. The apparatus may also include multiple troughs connected to one or more primary chambers.
Soxer
The soxer holds a stretched sock so you can seat the dog's paw into the sock to eliminate nails and dew claws catching in the material of the sock. Once the paw is seated the soxer rolls up the leg to give the sock a perfect fit around your dog's leg. The soxer makes putting on the socks a one-person job.
Double reacher apparatus
A double reacher apparatus to aid in donning a garment including an elongated handle member, a pair of parallel positioned arm members forming a U shape and a pair of clamp members. The elongated handle member is integrally connected to the pair of parallel positioned arm members. The pair of parallel positioned arm members are integrally coupled at a distal end of the elongated handle along a U-bend region and the pair of parallel positioned arm members have an adjustable width therebetween along the U-bend region. The width being adjusted to a length so as to extend open an attached garment wide enough to allow a user to insert both legs contemporaneously into the garment. The pair of clamp members operatively grip and ungrip a garment. Each clamp member is integrally connected to a distal end of a corresponding arm member and each clamp member has a fixed engaging member which attaches directly to the corresponding arm member and a movable mating engaging member which is integrally connected to the fixed engaging member.
Putting-on aid for a support stocking
A putting-on aid for support stockings, including a carrier element that is capable of at least partly encompassing a body part. The putting-on aid includes at least one motor which is designed to bring the carrier element or parts thereof into motion, wherein the motion is capable of at least assisting a rolling-off and rolling-up of a support stocking.
STOCKING APPLICATION DEVICE
A stocking application device that facilitates an application of a stocking over a limb of a person. The stocking application device may include a first body portion at a proximate end of the stocking application device. The stocking application device may further include a second body portion attached to the first body portion. The second body portion may include a plurality of U-shaped fingers. Each of the plurality of U-shaped fingers may include a horizontal portion and a pair of vertical portions. Each vertical portion of the pair of vertical portions may include a flared end. The horizontal portions of the plurality of U-shaped fingers may be disposed one over another and attached to the first body portion. Specifically, the horizontal portions may be disposed at a predetermined angle such that vertical portions of the plurality of U-shaped fingers are equally spaced from each other.
