EVENT OR EXHIBITION CARPET WITH SOLID MULTILOBAL FIBRE
An event or exhibition carpet is described having a needlefelt structure which can be low in weight but having good abrasion resistance. In accordance with embodiments of the present invention the event or exhibition carpet comprises at least a needle punched facing layer as top layer made of staple fibers, wherein the staple fibers comprise at least 50% by weight of solid multilobal fibers, and at least a partial binding. A process for making this event or exhibition carpet is described comprising the steps of: conveying a fibrous card web to a crosslapping machine and crosslapping the card web into a batt of material, wherein the multilobal nonwoven crosslapper travelling distance is less than 20% and larger than 10% bigger than the final width of the needle punched facing layer.
Floor matting
Floor mats comprising two layers bonded together with an undulating boundary between them. The surface color and/or surface texture of the first layer being different from the surface color and/or surface texture of the second layer. The mats having an interlocking periphery boundary adapted so the mats can be interlocked with adjoining mats to form a continuous planar mat flooring.
Floor Mat with Hidden Base Component
This invention relates to a washable multi-component magnetic floor mat with a hidden base component. The floor mat contains a textile component and a base component. The textile component and the base component are attached to one another by magnetic attraction. The magnetic attraction is provided by incorporation of magnetic particles in both the textile and base components. The textile component is designed to be soiled, washed, and re-used, thereby providing ideal end-use applications in areas such as building entryways. The present invention eliminates the need to wash the base component of the floor mat which results in environmental, cost and labor conservation. Alignment and deployment of the textile component with the base component in an efficient manner is also described herein.
Installation of Multi-Component Floor Mat
This invention relates to installation methods for a multi-component floor mat. The floor mat typically contains a textile component and a base component. Alignment and deployment of the textile component with the base component in an efficient manner is described herein.
Retractable Floor Cover
A retractable floor cover. The device includes an elongated cylindrical housing and a flexible panel connected to a rotatable spool disposed within an interior volume of the housing, which is operably connected to a spring-rewind mechanism. The panel extends outwardly through a slot disposed on the housing, wherein the panel is configured to move between an extended position and a retracted position. A control disposed on the housing is configured to activate the spring-rewind mechanism, wherein activation of the spring-rewind mechanism is configured to roll the panel along the spool and retract the panel though the slot and into the interior volume of the housing. The housing can be integral to an article of furniture or may be secured to an existing article of furniture via a first strap disposed on a first end of the housing and a second strap disposed on an opposing second end of the housing.
Protective mat and method for protecting a floor from spillage and debris
The present disclosure provides a protective mat and a method for protecting a floor from spillage, debris and/or scratches. The protective mat may also provide other advantages such as impact resistance and/or reduction of foot/leg fatigue. The protective mat includes a web of extruded polymer monofilaments. The protective mat may further include a membrane. The membrane may be made of a liquid impermeable material. The method includes overlaying a portion of a floor with the protective mat.
Flooring
A contamination control mat 10 comprising a support layer 16 which is coated on a top surface with a polymeric contamination control layer 17, wherein the support layer 16 comprises a glass fiber reinforced polymer that is printed on a top surface, the polymeric contamination control layer 17 is transparent or translucent, and the printed surface is visible through the polymeric contamination control layer. This provides a thin yet rigid and stable mat 10 that can also display printed information that is protected from damage. The mat 10 is primarily used to meet contamination control needs.
Ultra compact one-handed folding mat
A portable mat which keeps itself clean teaches a combination of nine upper surface panels of hard rubber, EPDM, hard neoprene, a very durable bottom surface/substrate holding the mat panels, which may be the neoprene in unitary body embodiments or a separate material in other embodiments, a formula for placement of the panels upon the substrate, a specific folding sequence, and a tenth mud-flap outside of the regular 33 pattern of the other nine panels which completes the folding sequence with every bottom surface covered by another bottom surface and no top panel in contact with any bottom surface. A handhold at one corner and indicia on the top surface assist the user in properly folding, as do the formulaic gaps which allow tight proper folding and prevent improper folding.
