Washable multi-component magnetic floor mat
This invention relates to a washable multi-component magnetic floor mat. The floor mat contains a textile component and a base component. The textile component and the base component are attached to one another by magnetic attraction. The magnetic attraction is provided by incorporation of magnetic particles in both the textile and base components. The textile component is designed to be soiled, washed, and re-used, thereby providing ideal end-use applications in areas such as building entryways. The present invention eliminates the need to wash the base component of the floor mat which results in environmental, cost and labor conservation. Alignment and deployment of the textile component with the base component in an efficient manner is also described herein.
Entrance mat
A mat comprises a profile bar, a metal strip with a high coefficient of friction, a U-clip, and a rivet rod is disclosed. The profile bar includes a head with a flat surface and a post including a hole. The metal strip includes a surface with a high coefficient of friction, and a plurality of posts opposite the surface with the high coefficient of friction, wherein the plurality of posts includes a hole. The rivet rod fits through the hole in the post of the profile bar and the hole of the plurality of posts of the metal strip. The U-clip includes notches, and the post of the profile bar rests in one of the notches while the plurality of posts of the metal strip rests in several of the notices. The rivet rod extends through the holes to couple the profile bar and the metal strip to the U-clip.
SURGICAL FLUID RETENTION DEVICE AND METHOD OF USE
A fluid retention device and method of use is defined for retaining surgical fluids used during surgical operation. The device includes a base and an outer wall attached to the base. The outer wall defines a retention area on the base. An inner wall may also be provided to further define the fluid retention area. The inner wall and/or outer wall may include a hollow interior that is selectively expanded to raise the outer wall from the base and to define an upstanding perimeter around the retention area. The retention area is sufficient to retain at least one medical personnel and an operating table, supporting a surgical patient. Access into the center of the device may be provided by a defined separation line radially across one side of the device. Sealing tape may be used to connect and seal the separation.
Floor mat and method for assembling such a mat
A floor mat comprising several sections each provided with a trench designed to receive an insert, each section having first and second lateral grooves extending along respectively two longitudinal axes, and several joining elements, each joining element being configured to join two sections to one another, each joining element comprising a first set of main tabs inserted in the second lateral groove of a first section and a second set of main tabs inserted in the first lateral groove of a second section.
Foldable mat
A foldable mat has a flat flexible base portion with a margin and has finger tabs integrally formed and extending upward that can be grasped to allow the mat to fold so that the bottom surface halves of the mat fold inward on each other, masking the potentially contaminated bottom surface of the mat from contact with anything else. The mat can then be stored in a folded condition.
Bathroom floor covering
The present invention relates to a novel one-piece bathroom rug or floor covering designed to accommodate the floor area near fixtures in a bathroom. The bathroom rug features a toilet rug portion for covering surface area in front of a toilet bowl, a shower rug portion for covering surface area in front of the shower or tub and a sink basin rug portion for covering surface area below and in front of a sink. The toilet rug portion includes a cut-out contoured to a toilet base and adapted to receive therein the toilet base. The bathroom rug is a multi-layered structure and absorbs water, increases comfort and safety, and improves the overall aesthetic of a bathroom.
Night-light and alert system
Among other things, a system for lighting a light for an individual rising from a bed is provided. In particular embodiments, the system can include a mat and a light unit wirelessly connected, so that when an individual steps on the mat as he or she rises from the bed a signal is sent to the light unit, activating the light. A weight sensor in the mat can measure the weight placed on the mat, so that unintentional lighting can be avoided and so that weight information can be recorded. Embodiments can also include a signal transmitter to send weight and activation information to a remote receiver.
SLIP-RESISTANT PROTECTIVE MAT
A slip-resistant protective mat is configured to reduce slippage with an underlying surface. The slip-resistant protective mat includes a body layer having opposing upper and lower surfaces, and a plurality of slip-resistant pads having upper and lower surfaces. The upper surface of the plurality of slip-resistant pads is attachable to the lower surface of the body layer. The lower surface of the plurality of slip-resistant pads includes a plurality of deformable hooks of a hook-and-loop type connector configured to attach to an underlying carpeted surface. Alternatively, or in addition to the slip-resistant pads containing deformable hooks, the lower surface of one or more of the plurality of slip-resistant pads may include a high-polished, smooth finish with a Shore hardness of between about 55 A to about 70 A configured to obtain maximum surface contact and to reduce slippage with an underlying hard surface.
