A locking apparatus for a community mailbox prevents the opening of the main access door through which a mail carrier may gain access to the interiors of all of the individual mailboxes of the community mailbox. The locking apparatus has a mounting plate which is configured to be attached to an outer housing of the community mailbox. A stop plate is pivotally attached to the mounting plate. The stop plate is configured to be locked into a first position which prevents the opening of the main access door. The stop plate is further configured such that when unlocked, the stop plate may be pivoted into a second position which allows the opening of the main access door.

A height-adjusting apparatus for a mobile foundation includes a rod with a threaded portion and a threaded plate, which is retained in an adjustable manner on the threaded portion and has a supporting surface. The height-adjusting apparatus also includes a tube, which has a cavity. The tube comprises at least one wall aperture on an outer side, as a result of which the rod projects into the cavity. Additionally, the height-adjusting apparatus is configured such that the rod can be rotated relative to the tube at least in part about an axis parallel to the longitudinal axis of the tube.

Delivery reception system, assemblies, and devices are shown and described. In one embodiment, a universal delivery reception unit includes a chassis frame, a first insert module secured within the chassis frame, and at least a second insert module adjacent the first insert module and secured within the chassis frame. The result is a universal delivery reception unit for temporarily receiving and storing independent deliveries at a site.
