Food Delivery Receptacle Assembly
A food delivery receptacle assembly for protecting food deliveries includes a box in which a set of openings is positioned. A food container can be inserted into the box through a respective opening. Each of a set of panels is hingedly engaged to the box and is positioned to selectively close a respective opening. Insulation is engaged to an inner surface of the box and to an inner face of each panel. The insulation reduces heat transfer between food in the food container and air outside of the box. Each of a set of locks is engaged to the box and is selectively engageable to a respective panel. The locks are electronically actuated to deter unauthorized access to the food container. The locks can be deactivated to permit authorized access to the food container, thus allowing access to the box by a delivery agent and a user.
Delivery receiving assembly
A delivery receiving assembly for enabling secure unattended delivery of an item includes a housing, which has an opening positioned therein. A door is hingedly engaged to the housing and is positioned to cover the opening. A locking unit, which is engaged to one of the housing and the door and is selectively engageable to the other of the housing and the door, is positioned to secure the door over the opening. A keypad is engaged to one of the housing and the door. A microprocessor is engaged to the housing and is operationally engaged to the keypad and the locking unit. Upon entry of a code into the keypad, the microprocessor actuates the locking unit to unlock the door. An alarm is engaged to the housing and is operationally engaged to the microprocessor. The microprocessor selectively actuates the alarm upon entry of an incorrect code into the keypad.
Defrost system for smart locker in package delivery
Defrost system for smart locker in package delivery are disclosed herein. An example method can include receiving a delivery message from a delivery unit that a package is to be delivered to a locker unit, the delivery message including an expected delivery time, determining a frozen condition for the locker unit, and activating a defroster element associated with the locker unit before delivery of the package by the delivery unit according to expected delivery time.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING SECURE ACCESS TO A RECEPTACLE
A method includes receiving a parcel identifier from a sensor, transmitting a reporting message to a remote server, and transmitting an authentication message to a local wireless receiver. The reporting message includes first information associated with the parcel identifier and the authentication message includes second information associated with the parcel identifier. Transmitting the reporting message and the authentication message may be performed automatically in response to receipt of the parcel identifier. A parcel receptacle includes a compartment, a lid, a lock mechanism, a wireless communication module, and a controller. The controller is configured to periodically transmit a beacon signal, receive an authentication message including a parcel identifier from a delivery driver device, compare the parcel identifier to one or more stored codes, and in response to determining the parcel identifier matches at least one of the one or more stored codes, send an unlock instruction signal to the lock mechanism.
Robot Delivery System
A system for delivering an article from a first location to a second location with a robot having a closeable transport container for housing the article during transport. A closeable recipient container is provided at the second location for receiving the article. At least one computer configured to navigate the robot over an outdoor transportation network between locations is provided. The robot has a robot article transport mechanism controlled by the at least one computer for removing the article from the transport container and the recipient container has a recipient article transport mechanism for moving the article inside the recipient container.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF SECURING TRANSPORT CONTAINERS TO ATTACHMENT POINTS
Securing systems and methods of securing a transport container to an attachment point. In one embodiment, the securing system includes an actuator, an attachment structure, and an electronic controller. The attachment structure is dimensioned to complement the actuator. The electronic controller is operably coupled to the actuator for attaching and releasing the actuator to the attachment structure.
Delivery System and Components Therefor
An improved delivery system and a delivery method in which a receptacle comprises a housing which is configured to be moved between an expanded configuration and a contracted configuration. In the expanded configuration, the housing defines a cavity to receive one or more items. The receptacle may be configured to self-configure into an expanded configuration on receipt of a delivery signal from a delivery service. The receptacle may further include a sensor to detect tampering or unauthorized access to the cavity, and an alarm system to generate an alarm signal on detecting tampering or unauthorized access.
Smart-home enabled package receipt furniture
The disclosed invention includes a dwelling fixture. The dwelling fixture includes a compartment configured to contain packages delivered to the dwelling, an interior door to access the compartment from the interior of the dwelling, and an exterior door to access the compartment from the exterior of the dwelling. The interior door and/or exterior door includes a locking mechanism to secure the compartment. The dwelling fixture is easily and securely installable through the walls of the dwelling. The exterior door is flush with the exterior of the dwelling and aesthetically integrated with trim that adapts to any exterior finish.
Self-service parcel cabinet
A self-service parcel cabinet, comprising: a main-body part (1), a sorting apparatus (2), a parking apparatus (3), and a control device. The main-body part is a hollow structure opened at the top. At least part of the hollow structure is formed by multiple self-service parcel lockers (11) surroundingly arranged. The parking apparatus is provided on top of the main-body part and comprises a drone landing pad (31). Provided on the drone landing pad is a channel allowing passing of a parcel delivered by the drone and directly facing the opening at the top. The sorting apparatus is provided within the hollow structure, communicatively connected to the control device, and capable of, when a parcel receiving instruction transmitted by the control device is received, receiving according to the parcel receiving instruction a parcel delivered by the drone, and, when a first sorting instruction transmitted by the control device is received, transferring according to the first sorting instruction the receive parcel into a self-service locker of the self-service cabinet.
Systems and methods for delivering uncontaminated food orders
A food delivery container for delivering food that is not contaminated during delivery. The container is locked with an electromechanical lock that is keyed with a unique electronic code or key that is generated during the ordering process based on information collected from the consumer. The electronic key is transmitted to the user's electronic device, such as a phone, and the user transmits the key from the electronic device to the lock to unlock the container.
