A method includes generating, via a camera, image data that is reproducible as an image of at least a portion of a subject. The method also includes receiving, via a sensor, first biomeasurement data associated with the subject, the first biomeasurement data including a first biomeasurement of the subject. The method also includes verifying the first biomeasurement of the subject based at least in part on a comparison between at least a portion of the image data and at least a portion of the first biomeasurement data.

An embodiment of an apparatus includes a handle with a controller within the handle, an attachment arm extending from the handle, and a user-assistive device coupled with an end of the attachment arm, wherein the apparatus is to determine a mass held by the user-assistive device, the determination being made during a task by a user of the handheld tool including manipulation of the handheld tool.

A method of notifying an individual about an item in a secure mailbox is provided. The method includes receiving an indication that an item for an intended recipient has been deposited into a secure mailbox. The method also includes, based at least in part on receiving the indication, programming an access control device of the secure mailbox to unlock the access control device in response to a credential assigned to the intended recipient and notifying the intended recipient that the item is in the secure mailbox. It is detected that the secure mailbox has been unlocked in response to the credential that is assigned to the intended recipient. Based at least in part on the detecting, re-programming the access control device of the secure mailbox to an un-programed status that includes the access control device remaining in the unlocked state.

A pillow remote controller using acoustic commands includes a pillow defining an open interior compartment configured for housing one or more pressure sensors electrically and operably coupled with an electronics enclosure. The electronics enclosure contains various electronic components including a power control and alarm circuit, an audio receive, de-code and function command circuit, a transmitter selector and interface circuit, and various transmitters for transmitting an operating function to an electronic product. The electronics are operable for receiving an acoustic command, de-coding the acoustic command, and providing a function command to the transmitter selector and interface circuit. The function command is interfaced with a particular type of transmitter and transmitted optically or wirelessly to the electronic product. One or more human presence sensors may be operably coupled with the power control and alarm circuit to provide an assurance of human presence before enabling operation.

A method of notifying an individual about an item in a secure mailbox is provided. The method includes receiving an indication that an item for an intended recipient has been deposited into a secure mailbox. The method also includes, based at least in part on receiving the indication, programming an access control device of the secure mailbox to unlock the access control device in response to a credential assigned to the intended recipient and notifying the intended recipient that the item is in the secure mailbox. Standing desks, such as fixed work surfaces or height-adjustable desks or computer/workstation supports, provide relief from computer or other desk work that might otherwise force a user to remain seated. However, concerns about utilization and comfort are points of resistance to standing desks. A smart pressure sensing mat is provided that may provide additional cushioning and comfort as well as a source of data input for record keeping, usage verification, user identification, and control signals. The method also includes receiving, via a sensor, first biomeasurement data associated with the subject, the first biomeasurement data including a first biomeasurement of the subject. The method also includes verifying the first biomeasurement of the subject based at least in part on a comparison between at least a portion of the image data and at least a portion of the first biomeasurement data.

A bottle according to an exemplary aspect of the present disclosure includes, among other things, a sidewall, at least one cap removably attached to the sidewall, and a control unit. The control unit is configured to determine whether fluid expelled from the bottle is consumed by a user.

An assembly for accomplishing package transfer to and from a drone. The assembly includes a base supporting at least one extendable member. A package receiving platform is secured atop the member and a control system interfaces the assembly with the drone for issuing a set of command instructions for guiding and positioning the drone relative to the platform and for accomplishing package transfer between the drone and the platform. The command instructions include at least an instruction to elevate the platform at any point prior to package exchange and a subsequent instruction to retract the platform at any point following package exchange. Additional command instructions provide for managing each of pre-exchange and post-exchange of the package, such as for providing secure retention and post-exchange access by the recipient in the instance of a drone delivered and securely retained package.
