Tillage apparatuses and related methods
An apparatus, which may be a tillage apparatus may have a flexible frame. The frame may be made from transverse and longitudinal open members. The frame may support ground engagers and may be supported on wheel assemblies. The ground engagers may be connected to a spring trip mechanism. The ground engagers may be mounted to open members of the frame with a clamping style mechanism. The clamp mechanism may include wedge devices. The frame may be lowered and raised relative to wheels of the wheel assemblies with a lift mechanism. One row of ground engagers may be raised or lowered relative to the frame independent of another row of ground engagers. An anti-skid or skew control system may be employed in association with the independent height adjustment of one row of ground engagers. A system may be provided to maintain and control the height of a tow hitch forming part of the apparatus.
SUB-SOIL STRIP TILL POINT
A ground-working tool including a shank and a sub-soil point at the bottom end of the shank. The sub-soil point has a leading cutting edge transverse to and in front of the longitudinal axis of the shank, a back portion behind the shank, a top portion from the leading edge to the shank, a bottom portion, and opposite lateral sides. A soil-rolling surface on at least one of the opposite lateral sides of the sub-soil point, each soil-rolling surface being concave in cross-section between top and bottom edges along a front to back length.

WALK-BEHIND TRACTOR WITH INCREASED GROUND CLEARANCE
A walk-behind tractor has an increased ground clearance to define a plant receiving space that has a greater height than a conventional walk-behind tractor having a straight axle. The walk-behind tractor has trailing drop arms from a frame that carry wheel axles that result in an elevated height of a driveshaft. The elevated driveshaft increases the ground clearance for taller plants to pass therebeneath during operation of the walk-behind tractor which would otherwise be too tall to pass below a conventional straight axle walk-behind tractor.
PLANTER DOWNFORCE CONTROL
A method of controlling the downpressure on an air seeder that has a plurality of seed assemblies and a plurality of fertilizer assemblies each applying an adjustable downforce, wherein the method includes keeping a total downforce applied by all of the plurality of seed assemblies and all of the plurality of fertilizer assemblies less than a maximum downforce. The method may also include keeping the downforce applied by each of the fertilizer assemblies less than the downforce applied by each of the seed assemblies.

System and method for identifying soil layers within an agricultural field
A system for identifying soil layers within a field includes a non-contact-based sensor configured to capture data indicative of a subsurface soil layer within the field. Furthermore, the system includes a computing system communicatively coupled to the non-contact-based sensor. In this respect, the computing system is configured to determine a thickness of the subsurface soil layer in a vertical direction based on the data captured by the non-contact-based sensor. Moreover, the computing system is configured to identify the subsurface soil layer as one of a compaction layer or a B-horizon based on the determined thickness.
