20200249217 · 2020-08-06 ·

In one aspect, a system for monitoring soil composition within a field may include a non-rotating ground-engaging tool configured to be pulled through soil within the field in a manner that performs an agricultural operation on the field. The non-rotating ground-engaging tool may, in turn, define a cavity therein, with the cavity including an opening. Furthermore, the system may include a sensor positioned within the cavity, with the sensor configured emit an output signal through the opening for reflection off of the soil within the field. The sensor may also be configured to detect the reflected output signal as a return signal, with a parameter of the return signal being indicative of a soil composition of the soil within the field.

Implement control system having a manual override

An implement control system includes an automatic control valve assembly configured to utilize fluid from a supply conduit to cause a cylinder to raise a ground engaging tool relative to a soil surface and to utilize the fluid flow from the supply conduit to cause the cylinder to lower the ground engaging tool relative to the soil surface while an automatic control mode is active. The implement control system also includes a controller configured to control the automatic control valve assembly based on a position of the ground engaging tool relative to the soil surface to control the position of the ground engaging tool relative to the soil surface while the automatic control mode is active. The controller is also configured to deactivate the automatic control mode in response to fluid pressure within a first manual control conduit exceeding a threshold pressure.

TILLAGE APPARATUSES AND RELATED METHODS

An apparatus, which may be a tillage apparatus, is disclosed that may have a flexible frame. The frame may be made from open members. The frame may support ground engagers and may be supported on wheel assemblies. The ground engagers may be connected to a spring trip mechanism. The ground engagers may be mounted to open members of the frame with a clamping style mechanism. The clamp mechanism may include wedge devices. The frame may be lowered and raised relative to wheels of the wheel assemblies with a lift mechanism. One row of ground engagers may be raised or lowered relative to the frame independent of another row of ground engagers. An anti-skid or skew control system may be employed in association with the independent height adjustment of one row of ground engagers. A system may be provided to maintain and control the height of a tow hitch forming part of the apparatus.

An agricultural enhancement method for removing or overcoming soil fragipan, hardpan, or other natural and/or artificial soil compaction barriers is disclosed. These barriers prevent root and/or water penetration, which inhibits agricultural development. Consequently, removing and overcoming these barriers is beneficial to the soil and to agricultural yields.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REMOTELY CONTROLLING HYDRAULIC COMPONENTS OF AN AGRICULTURAL IMPLEMENT
20200060066 · 2020-02-27 ·

A system for remotely controlling hydraulic component of an agricultural implement towed by a work vehicle may include a vehicle-based valve assembly that selectively supplies hydraulic fluid to one or more supply lines of the implement. Specifically, a first supply line may be fluidly coupled to an implement-based valve assembly that regulates the supply of hydraulic fluid to a hydraulic actuator through a first actuator line. A second supply line may be fluidly coupled to the first actuator line downstream of the implement-based valve assembly such that when a user provides a control input at a remote interface, the vehicle-based valve assembly may instead regulate the supply of hydraulic fluid to the actuator. The supply of the hydraulic fluid through the supply lines may additionally be controlled by first and second override valves fluidly coupled to the first and second supply lines, respectively.
