Deployable and retractable cover
A cover system comprises at least one cover sheet having four edges and a plurality of flexible rafters. Each of the rafters is slidably connected to at least one of two opposite edges of the four edges, and at least one roller is provided on at least one of two other opposite edges of the four edges, wherein the roller is configured to rotate. The cover sheet is configured to wrap around the roller and be released from the roller, depending on a direction of rotation of the roller.
Deployable and retractable cover
A cover system comprises at least one cover sheet having four edges and a plurality of flexible rafters. Each of the rafters is slidably connected to at least one of two opposite edges of the four edges, and at least one roller is provided on at least one of two other opposite edges of the four edges, wherein the roller is configured to rotate. The cover sheet is configured to wrap around the roller and be released from the roller, depending on a direction of rotation of the roller.
Garden protection system
A garden protection system includes a frame operable to suspend a shade cloth over a garden bed to protect underlying plants in the garden bed from inclement weather, and a housing mounted to the frame and comprising a moisture detector, a roller system, circuitry, a motor, a pulley system, a power supply, and a solar panel. The shade cloth is wrapped about the roller system, and the roller system is rotatably coupled to the pulley system. The moisture detector is operable to detect said inclement weather, and to automatically direct the motor to rotate the pulley system. And, the pulley system is operable to rotate the roller system to roll the shade cloth along a side of the garden protection system via roller brackets that are slidably affixed to the frame.
Garden protection system
A garden protection system includes a frame operable to suspend a shade cloth over a garden bed to protect underlying plants in the garden bed from inclement weather, and a housing mounted to the frame and comprising a moisture detector, a roller system, circuitry, a motor, a pulley system, a power supply, and a solar panel. The shade cloth is wrapped about the roller system, and the roller system is rotatably coupled to the pulley system. Plant pollination control structures
A pollination control structure comprises a support; a plurality of support fixings, each support fixing being attached to or integral with the support, and; a barrier member comprising a plurality of barrier member pieces. At least one of the barrier member pieces is releasably attached to at least one of the support fixings by an intermediate fixing. The barrier member piece is releasably attached to the intermediate fixing, and the intermediate fixing is releasably attached to the support fixing.
Plant pollination control structures
A pollination control structure comprises a support; a plurality of support fixings, each support fixing being attached to or integral with the support, and; a barrier member comprising a plurality of barrier member pieces. At least one of the barrier member pieces is releasably attached to at least one of the support fixings by an intermediate fixing. The barrier member piece is releasably attached to the intermediate fixing, and the intermediate fixing is releasably attached to the support fixing.
Elongated sheet for covering agricultural cultivated plants
The present invention relates to an elongated sheet (1) for covering agricultural cultivated plants (2) for generating a greenhouse climate in the covered area, having an elongated basic film (3) made of plastic, wherein a ventilation area (5) extending in the longitudinal direction (L) of the sheet is provided in the central area of the basic film (4) and having a plurality of ventilation openings (6), wherein a cover film (9) of plastic extending in longitudinal sheet direction (L) of the basic film (3) is applied to the ventilation area (5) forming free spaces (11) for air exchange and is firmly welded to the basic film (3) via a plurality of connection areas (10) following one another in longitudinal sheet direction (L). In accordance with the invention, it is provided that the material and/or the quality of the cover film (9) is selected in such a manner that the cover film (9), in a first state, lies flat against and/or on the upper side of the basic film (3) at least substantially in the region of the free spaces (11) and, preferably by convection of the heated air in the covered area, in a second state at least partially lifts off relative to the upper side of the basic film (3) forming free spaces (11), wherein the first state is maintained up to a transition temperature T.sub.1 of the greenhouse climate and wherein the second state is obtained and/or realized from the transition temperature T.sub.1 of the greenhouse climate.
Elongated sheet for covering agricultural cultivated plants
The present invention relates to an elongated sheet (1) for covering agricultural cultivated plants (2) for generating a greenhouse climate in the covered area, having an elongated basic film (3) made of plastic, wherein a ventilation area (5) extending in the longitudinal direction (L) of the sheet is provided in the central area of the basic film (4) and having a plurality of ventilation openings (6), wherein a cover film (9) of plastic extending in longitudinal sheet direction (L) of the basic film (3) is applied to the ventilation area (5) forming free spaces (11) for air exchange and is firmly welded to the basic film (3) via a plurality of connection areas (10) following one another in longitudinal sheet direction (L). In accordance with the invention, it is provided that the material and/or the quality of the cover film (9) is selected in such a manner that the cover film (9), in a first state, lies flat against and/or on the upper side of the basic film (3) at least substantially in the region of the free spaces (11) and, preferably by convection of the heated air in the covered area, in a second state at least partially lifts off relative to the upper side of the basic film (3) forming free spaces (11), wherein the first state is maintained up to a transition temperature T.sub.1 of the greenhouse climate and wherein the second state is obtained and/or realized from the transition temperature T.sub.1 of the greenhouse climate.
AGRIPHOTOVOLTAIC TANDEM SELECTIVE SPECTRAL ABSORBANCE AND TRANSMITTANCE SOLAR SYSTEM
The present invention discloses mean and methods for using of a suspended solar cell system in agriphotovoltaic culture of plants, wherein said use comprising steps of providing a tandem selective spectral absorbance and transmittance system whose total transmittance is tailored to match said plants' required absorption (light intensity vs wavelength); providing said system with a base-area A.sub.Tandem; and culturing said plants in an area A.sub.Surface below said a base-area A.sub.Tandem; said A.sub.TandemfA.sub.Surface; f ranges between 0.51 to 1.00. The present invention discloses agriphotovoltaic tandem selective spectral absorbance and transmittance system useful for culture of plants.
