Retrieval System for Underwater Objects
A retrieval system and methods of preparing and using same to retrieve underwater objects from a selected depth, including a flotation device having at least a selected amount of buoyancy, a release mechanism that is capable of releasably engaging an anchor, and a controller to actuate the release mechanism when a selected condition is achieved. The system further includes a spool assembly having a frame for carrying (i) the floatation device, (ii) the release mechanism, (iii) the controller and (iv) in combination with the flotation device, a quantity of pre-wound line having a length greater than the selected depth.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR A COLLAPSIBLE RECREATIONAL LOBSTER TRAP
The invention is a collapsible lobster trap configured to trap lobsters recreationally. The trap comprises a frame that may pull apart for transport and assemble for use, a netting that encloses the inside of the trap, an external entrance opening that allows lobsters to enter but not exit the trap, an inner funnel that allows a lobster to travel between two inner compartments of the trap, and an escape opening that enables users to remove lobsters from the trap.
Collapsible Fish Trap With Acoustic Masking Properties
Various aspects of the disclosure generally relate a fish trap for use in waters among marine predators which use echolocation. In one aspect the fish trap has acoustic masking properties. In one aspect the fish trap may be a lightweight, collapsible column for use by small commercial vessels and recreational fishing. In one aspect the fish trap may have an overlapping net, forming a double seam for added strength. In one aspect the fish trap may have reinforcing wire along bridle attachment points to hold heavier loads of fish.
Trap Line Fishing Float
A disk-like fishing float comprises flotation means and attachment means on a bottom section of the float for attachment of a fishing trap line, wherein the bottom section comprises a planing surface for planing of the fishing float on a surface of a water current when the float is held in a water current by the fishing trap line. The float, when attached upstream of a marker buoy attached to the fishing trap line, prevents submerging of the buoy which makes it easier and faster to locate the marker buoy and to haul and set traps. It also reduces the amount of line needed down to the traps thereby reducing costs and the chances of entanglement with trap lines of other fishermen and of harming sea life, and reduces trap rollovers thereby increasing the catch.

Crayfish trap
A crayfish trap is configured to accommodate large crayfish. The crayfish trap includes a continuous wire mesh configured to form a top panel and a bottom panel. A forward spiked ramp and a rear spiked ramp are attached to the bottom panel. A plate is mechanically coupled to the bottom panel and configured to weight down the crayfish trap. A forward one-way door and a rear one-way door are attached to the top panel and slightly displaced from the forward spiked ramp and the rear spiked ramp permitting entry of the crayfish into the crayfish trap. A bait trap is attached to the plate configured to attract crayfish into the crayfish trap. The top panel includes a top access door configured to access the crayfish trap for baiting and crayfish removal.

FISH POT
A pot arranged for catching a fish. The pot has a pot chamber, with a primary inlet funnel extending inwards in the pot chamber. Under the pot chamber, a framework forming an antechamber arranged to house a fish is arranged. The antechamber includes a lower inlet funnel which extends inwards in the antechamber.

FISH TRAP
A fish trap includes: a fish trap mesh formed with at least one entrance; at least one frame supporting the fish trap mesh; at least one luring part formed to extend from the entrance of the fish trap mesh in a direction toward the inside of the frame and including a lure opening; and an escape prevention part forming an isolated space and provided with at least one fish passage hole through which fish passes after passing through the luring opening of the at least one luring part.
