Reduced Weight Equine Orthotic Pad and Method
An improved shock absorbing, light-weight, thermally insulative orthotic pad designed for use in a “pad and boot” assembly for hoofed livestock. The pad is comprised of a mixture of small particles incorporated and encased in elastomeric materials. The particles have a lower density than the elastomeric materials and possess better thermally insulative properties. The pad is preferably elliptically shaped when viewed from the top or bottom, may be wedge-shaped when viewed from the side, and may include a triangular projection designed to contact a horse's frog and/or a front projection designed to cushion an animal's toe. The pad may also have side clips and toe bumper.
Rocker shoe and attachment for an equine boot assembly
An equine boot attachment and/or solid structure shoe that is designed to be attached on the underside of an equine boot or an equine hoof that allows the boot or hoof to roll forward, or to the side, without unnecessary bending, thus allowing an equine user to find a comfortable natural position to relieve stress on a sore, injured or diseased hoof. The rocking action allows the equine to adjust its stance to find the most comfortable position, not unlike standing in a bed of sand. This ability to find a naturally comfortable standing position is especially important for equine with lameness such as laminitis.

Equine Shoe Metal/Polymer Assembly
An equine shoe assembly, comprising a dual density polymer shoe having a relatively soft bottom patterned section and a base section of harder polymer capable of holding nails and maintaining the shoe is relatively rigid and structurally intact during use on equine hooves fitted in a conventional metal equine shoe supporting the harder polymer base section.
HORSESHOE AND HORSESHOE ATTACHMENTS
A horseshoe for flexible and/or mouldable engagement with a hoof is provided. Also provided is a horseshoe attachment for engagement with a horseshoe. The horseshoe and the attachment will have respective bodies comprising a bridge connecting two legs. The horseshoe and the horseshoe attachment may each be of unitary construction. The horseshoe and the horseshoe attachment may each be formed of polyurethane, or a material comprising polyurethane. Methods of shoeing a hoof using the horseshoe and/or attaching the horseshoe attachment to a horseshoe are also provided.
HOOF SHOE OR HOOF SHOE INSERT FOR RELIEVING THE PRESSURE ON THE TOES OF A HOOFED ANIMAL
A hoof shoe or hoof shoe insert for a hoofed animal. An object is to relieve the pressure on the foot of a hoofed animal, in particular of a horse, on a hard ground surface. This may be achieved by a foamed plastics cushion which is arranged between the hoof of the animal and the ground surface and which is composed of a closed-cell plastics foam having a thermoplastic or elastomeric matrix with a density of between 100 and 400 all and which, at 50% compression, has a compressive stress of 150-280 kPa.

INSULATED EQUINE THERAPY BOOT
An equine therapy boot that has an insulating shaft that can be securely fastened at multiple locations on an equine leg and hold a volume of therapeutic media to treat the equine hoof and leg is disclosed herein. The equine therapy boot includes a sole member, an internal securing mechanism, and an insulating shaft configured to retain therapeutic media. Advantageously, this equine therapy boot secures the horse's hoof to the sole member such that the insulating shaft is not displaced from the horse's hoof and leg during the treatment period. Also disclosed herein are methods of treating a diseased or injured horse's hoof and leg with the disclosed equine therapy boot.
