Protective belt apparatus
A belt apparatus is configured to support the trousers worn by a person and to include a number of airbags that are deployable in a falling event to protect the person from bone breakages. The belt apparatus includes a flexible belt element and a fastener that appear and function in much the same way as an ordinary apparel trouser belt, i.e., fitting through belt loops in trousers and being fastenable to itself to support the pair of trousers at the waist of the person. Despite the ordinary appearance of the belt apparatus, it includes airbags internal thereto whose expansion is controlled by a control apparatus. Responsive to a falling event in a particular direction with respect to the person, the control apparatus triggers the rapid expansion of an airbag that is situated on the belt element in the particular direction with respect to the person and takes other actions.

System includes a haptic garment comprising an integrated circuit (IC) controller coupled to the haptic garment. A sensing circuit configured to cause to transmit a motion signal sensed by a portion of the haptic garment surface to the IC controller is provided. The motion signal is based on one or more of a touch pattern, a gesture pattern, and a movement pattern associated with a user of the haptic garment. The IC controller is configured to transmit a first data associated with the motion signal to an external device. Apparatus for monitoring the pulse of a person and a method thereof
A wearable device in the form of a tee-shirt is described. The sleeves of the tee-shirt having an electrocardiogram (ECG) sensor, a photoplethysmogram (PPG) sensor or a ballistocardiogram (BCG) sensor for monitoring the pulse of a person wearing the tee-shirt. The tee-shirt makes possible the comparison of the pulses down the two arms. The pulse-transit-time, pulse amplitude, pulse spread and pulse shape may be compared to observe any difference between the left and right sides of the person.
VOICE ISOLATION DEVICE
A face mask can both actively cancel sounds and passively attenuate sounds spoken by the user to prevent the sounds from reaching non-intended recipients positioned near the user. The mask can not only reduce the user's voice from escaping the mask but can also be used to reduce external sounds from reaching inside the mask. Thus, a user can wear the mask in public and talk on their phone without disturbing others around them. The mask can include at least one microphone and at least one audio speaker disposed inside and/or outside the mask. Sounds received by the microphone can be processed by a microphone and computing electronics to provide an output to the audio speaker that can appropriately attenuate the sound received by the microphone, via acoustic cancelation. The mask can not only be used to cancel sounds but may also be used to amplify sounds when desired.
