Ambidextrous glove having widened glove body and method of producing the same
11632991 · 2023-04-25 · ·

A reusable glove for meat processing plants that is able to be easily donned and doffed, and worn over a liner. A thumb crotch is defined between first sides of the glove's index finger region and thumb region. An imaginary first plane extends generally along the index finger region's first side, beyond the thumb crotch, and through the thumb region. An imaginary second plane oriented at right angles to the first plane extends along a narrowest width of the glove's wrist region and intersects the first plane at an intersection region. An imaginary third plane oriented parallel to the first plane and at right angles to the second plane, passes through narrowest width of the wrist region, and intersects the side of the wrist region at a transition region. The transition region is located outwardly beyond the intersection region and vertically below the thumb crotch.

The subject matter relates generally to devices configured to be attached to fingers and/or the hands of persons and which may aid in the playing of musical instruments. These devices are custom made to fit the fingers of a particular musician or aspiring musician precisely and optionally include an additional feature or element at the tip which beneficially improves the ability to play. These devices also may protect the fingers from the adverse effects of prolonged playing. These devices may be used independently on each finger, or may be combined together into a glove with the finger devices attached to the rest of a custom fitting glove.

COMPOSITION FOR DIP MOLDING AND MOLDED BODY THEREOF
20230159686 · 2023-05-25 ·

Provided is a dip molding composition which contains at least: a carboxyl group-containing nitrile rubber elastomer; an epoxy crosslinking agent containing an epoxy compound that contains three or more glycidyl ether groups in one molecule and has a basic skeleton containing an alicyclic, aliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbon; and a pH modifier. In this dip molding composition, the elastomer contains 50% by weight or more, 78% by weight or less of a conjugated diene monomer-derived structural unit, 20% by weight or more, 30% by weight or less of an ethylenically unsaturated nitrile monomer-derived structural unit, and 3.5% by weight or more, 6% by weight or less of an ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid monomer-derived structural unit; the elastomer has an MEK-insoluble content of 60% by weight or more, 80% by weight or less; and the epoxy crosslinking agent has an MIBK/water distribution ratio of 50% or higher.

Glove, composition for dip molding, and method for producing glove

A glove including a cured film of an elastomer containing a (meth)acrylonitrile-derived structural unit, an unsaturated carboxylic acid-derived structural unit and a butadiene-derived structural unit in a polymer main chain, wherein the elastomer contains 20 to 40% by weight of a (meth)acrylonitrile-derived structural unit, 1 to 10% by weight of an unsaturated carboxylic acid-derived structural unit and 50 to 75% by weight of a butadiene-derived structural unit, and has a crosslinked structure of a carboxyl group in the unsaturated carboxylic acid-derived structural unit with an epoxy crosslinker containing an epoxy compound having three or more epoxy groups in one molecule.

Thermoplastic elastomeric formulation

A thermoplastic elastomeric formulation comprises (i) a water based thermoplastic elastomer (TPE), (ii) a surfactant, (iii) an antioxidant, (iv) a antifoaming agent and (v) a crosslinking agent. The water based TPE is styrene-isoprene-styrene (SIS) copolymer latex. A glove that is produced using the thermoplastic elastomeric formulation of the present invention is known as water based TPE gloves, such as water based TPE medical exam gloves, water based TPE household gloves and water based TPE industrial gloves in particular water based TPE surgical gloves.

METHOD OF MANUFACTURING LATEX RUBBER ARTICLES
20230145646 · 2023-05-11 ·

A method of manufacturing a latex rubber article comprises providing a former wherein at least a part of the former comprises a mould surface that forms the shape of the latex rubber article, and applying liquid latex to the mould surface using an applicator that is configured to apply the liquid latex to an applicator area that is smaller than the mould surface. The method further comprises providing relative movement between the applicator and the former to produce a latex coating that covers the mould surface, curing the latex coating on the former to form the latex rubber article, and removing the latex rubber article from the former.

Glove

A glove includes a glove body configured to cover a hand of a wearer, in which the glove body includes an innermost layer including a matrix resin and cellulose particles and forming an inner surface of the glove. At least some of the cellulose particles are at least partially exposed from the inner surface. The innermost layer includes 7 mass parts or more and 45 mass parts or less of the cellulose particles based on 100 mass parts of the matrix resin, and is formed as a non-foamed layer, and the cellulose particles have an average particle size of 10 μm or more and 45 μm or less.

Safety glove system
11638450 · 2023-05-02 ·

The present invention relates to a disposable safety glove system featuring a plurality of layers of inter-nested gloves that are worn simultaneously by a user. The improved disposable glove system of the present invention allows a user to peel away the outermost layer of gloves to reveal a new and sterile set of gloves. The glove system also features a relatively thick wristband to support the plurality of glove layers, a tab that can be used to easily peel off the outermost glove layer once the same has been used and a new pair of gloves is desired, and a numbering system that alerts the user to how many glove layers remain in the glove stack.

A protective guard for a hand, finger or thumb includes a first thermoplastic layer heat welded to second thermoplastic layer. The second thermoplastic layer has a thickness that is greater than the thickness of the first thermoplastic layer.

Low friction glove for easy double gloving

An elastomeric article includes a first surface and a second surface which is treated with a friction treatment. The elastomeric article can be a glove in which the first surface is an inner donning surface and the second surface is an outer grip surface. The friction treatment reduces friction on the grip surface of the gloves in order to make it easier to don a second glove on top of the grip surface of the gloves of the present invention. The gloves of the present invention may be used as a first pair of gloves in a double-gloving configuration to conform with safety protocols.
