Provided is a knit fabric which does not cause feelings of clamminess, feels very cool to the touch and is comfortable, and limits feelings of stickiness and post-sweat chill through rapid drying of sweat, and at the same time is capable of further improving texture. The garment comprises a multilayer-structure circular-knit fabric made of a single circular knit with a layered structure of at least two layers, and the surface that contacts the skin is the needle-loop side of the circular-knit fabric. The circular-knit fabric has portions in which long cellulose fibers and hydrophobic fibers are knit together to form the same knit loops. The garment contains 10-50 weight % of the long cellulose fibers. The exposure rate of the long cellulose fibers in the region from the surface of the side that contacts the skin to 0.13 mm into the interior of the circular-knit fabric is at least 30%.

LIGHTWEIGHT, BREATHABLE, WATERPROOF, SOFT SHELL COMPOSITE APPAREL AND TECHNICAL ALPINE APPAREL

The apparel is constructed from various combinations of layers of materials with moisture transfer properties. A first liner of moisture transfer fabrics abuts a second layer of structural material such as open-cell foam. The second layer can abut a breathable membrane and/or an insulating material. Finally, carefully selected outer fabric completes the combination to provide apparel with improved performance characteristics. The outer fabrics are treated in various ways to enhance performance.

Garments with moisture capture assemblies and associated methods

Garments comprise a plurality of adhesive bonds within a bonded region of the garment; a garment base that defines a garment lateral edge; and a moisture capture assembly bonded to the garment base within the bonded region. The moisture capture assembly comprises a moisture retention portion configured to absorb and retain moisture; and an anti-leak portion configured to restrict moisture from exiting the moisture retention portion. The bonded region extends fully around a perimeter of the moisture capture assembly, and the moisture capture assembly and the bonded region do not extend to the garment lateral edge.

PANT-TYPE WEARABLE ARTICLE

Disclosed is a wearable article comprising a front elastic belt region, a back elastic belt region, each of the front and back elastic belt region comprises a laminate comprising an inner sheet, an outer sheet, and a plurality of elastic members running in the transverse direction, the longitudinal dimension between adjacent elastic members forming an elastic spacing; wherein the laminate is bonded by heat at the side edges to form side seams, the side seams existing no distant than about 20 mm from the side edges, and the remainder of the laminate is substantially free of heat bonds, wherein the article has a Belt Elastic Bonding Percentage of less than about 25%, and an Individual Elastic Bonding Percentage of from about 10% to about 75%, according to the measurements herein.

Protective Fabric and Garments Made Therefrom

A wettable barrier fabric is provided that exhibits barrier function to dry particles and splashed liquids while also exhibiting wettability and wicking properties. A garment formed from a wettable barrier fabric that has good absorption properties and that retains good barrier properties is also provided.

Fabric with foam core

A stitched fabric including a foam core and a yarn stitched through and forming stitch holes in the foam core, where the yarn extends over at least a majority of a width and a length of the stitched fabric. In some cases, the yarn and the foam core are free from contact by another layer on either side of the foam core. In some cases, a barrier layer is disposed over at least one side of the foam core and a melted portion of the barrier layer fills a portion of the stitch holes. In some cases, the foam core is a closed cell aerogel foam core.

FABRIC STRUCTURE

A fabric structure includes a first layer, which is breathable and adapted to be directed toward the body of the user, a second layer, which has preferential passages for sweat in the vapor phase leading outward from the first layer, a third layer, which is breathable and arranged opposite the first layer, the second layer being between the first layer and the third layer. The first layer includes fibers of heat-conducting material.

Multilayer fabric with selective radiation filter

A multilayer fabric for selectively blocking or transmitting particular wavelengths in the electromagnetic spectrum, such solar radiation, and far infrared (FIR) radiation. The multilayer fabric may include a microporous water vapor permeable layer that selectively filters particular wavelengths depending on the size of its pores. In some embodiments, the multilayer fabric may include a nanostructured layer that selectively filters particular wavelengths.

METHODS, SYSTEMS, AND ARTICLES FOR PRODUCING A FILM PATTERN ON A SUBSTRATE MATERIAL

Aspects herein are directed to systems, methods, and articles for producing a patterned film and using the patterned film to form a pattern of discrete overlay film structures on a substrate material. A uniform thickness of a film material is deposited on to a first surface of a run of carrier sheets, where each carrier sheet includes one or more holes extending there through. A first carrier sheet is extracted from the run of carrier sheets, and a second surface of the carrier sheet is positioned on a substrate material. Heat and/or pressure is applied to the film material to cause the film material to transfer to the substrate material through the one or more holes in the carrier sheet forming a pattern of discrete overlay film structures on the substrate material. The carrier sheet along with remaining portions of the film material is removed from the substrate material.

COOLING GARMENT

The invention relates to a cooling garment for cooling a torso of a wearer, comprising a front and a rear panel with a neck opening therebetween, wherein the front panel and the rear panel together comprise one single cooling section composed of two outer layers with a water absorbent layer sandwiched therebetween. The two outer layers are sealed together along their edges to form a single compartment for the storage of water, wherein the portions of the compartment that are at the front and the rear panel are in fluid communication with one another over the shoulders. Both outer layers are impermeable to water but permeable to water vapor. The cooling garment may be activated by filling the compartment with water via an inlet in one of the outer layers.
