A garment, in particular a swim nappy, with an improved fit and formed from one or more substantially impermeable panels (6, 7, 8, 9) intended, in use, to cover a wearer's body between the waist and thighs. A top edge of the rear of the garment extends beyond the top edge of the front of garment in use so that the garment extends further up the wearer's back than the wearer's front. A waistband for an article of apparel is provided.
