A mechanical closure and fastening device, having a first part (1), made of a plate with a pin (1A) extending therefrom, the pin having first and second shaped sections in registry alignment and a narrower engaging section therebetween; and a second part (2), made of three plates (2A), (2B) and (2C), joined together, each having an opening in registry alignment and shaped to receive the first and second shaped sections when the pin is inserted thereinto; wherein plate (2B) has a rotatable plate within a fixed housing and having a lever (3) with which the rotatable plate may be rotated between an open position and a tightened, locked position within the housing, wherein in the tightened, locked position the opening in the rotatable plate is rotated out of registry alignment with the openings in plates (2A) and (2C); and wherein when the rotatable plate is in the open position, and the pin (1A) is inserted into the openings, the first and second shaped sections of pin (1A) are fixedly engaged by the openings in plates (2A) and (2C), and the engaging section therebetween is aligned with the opening in plate (2B), the rotatable plate may be rotated with the lever (3) about the engaging section to the tightened, locked position to thereby capture the first shaped section and lock the first and second parts (1) and (2) together.

The disclosure discloses a method for forming a rubber layer on a surface of a resin material. In the method, painting is first performed on the surface of the resin material to form a painting layer, using a paint to which a pigment has been added; then, rubber coating is performed to form a rubber layer on the painting layer. The method of the disclosure may be used in surface treatment of a fastener product. The disclosure further discloses a slide fastener, a buckle and a snap button using the method of the disclosure. The method of the disclosure may solve a conventional problem that a rubber coating is likely to fall off a resin surface, and the rubber on the surface of the resultant fastener product is less likely to fall off.

A device to perform multiple uses with textiles in everyday apparel and commercial textile uses. It is a decorative piece or labeling device for apparel or textiles, a temporary and adjustable fastener for holding onto a single or holding together multiple pieces of material, as well as a temporary alteration tool that can provide a tailored effect.

It is an object of my invention to be used as a fastener temporarily engaging and holding sections of material, such as a single layer attaching itself onto the material just like a piece of jewelry on a blouse or holding together overlapped layers on material like on a jacket or scarf, without piercing the material, which can be adjusted or removed at any time easily. Component 2 of the fastener is a matching base providing a contact surface and protruding connection for a matching piece, component 1 that is pressed into place that gently but firmly connects to hold material together. The base plate is made of a lightweight plastic, resin, and or metal that has a patented gasket like outcropping with a built up lip that will receive and hold component 1, the top plate, pressed down to engage it component 2. This connection is key and is one of the most important features of this invention. Not damaging like other penetrating devices like safety pins or clamps with pointy metal or plastic teeth to grab and hold onto material surfaces, etc. The top plates can be made of plastic, metal, resin, wood, etc. in endless shapes, designs and pattern. This is the plate that is visible on the outside of the material or garment. Plate 1 can also be double sided giving the user even more style options or for more branding or labeling functions as well.

There is another function of this object when it is used with a third component is engaged. This object can be used as a means to do temporary alterations. By pushing through and holding some material inside the garment or material (showing or not showing depending on your style preference), it gives the appearance of slimming or shaping. You use the first two plates (1&2) as you would for the two previous uses above and then you are able to add a third piece in the center of the other two plates. See FIG. 3. You just wait to engage the top piece onto the base plate until you have pushed through the amount of material you wish gathered. Then you insert the component 3 all the way through the center of joined component 1 and 2 until it catches and seats underneath the beveled edge of the underneath section of component 2 mentioned above. This invention relates to a button containing two pieces that snap together to fasten multiple articles of clothing. The top piece is made up of three parts: a detachable ridged color-coded cover that is used as both a pressure point to secure the invention, and a grip to rotate the invention in and out of the locked position, a male fastener that attaches the rigged cover to the plate with hinges that functions as the bottom of the top piece of the snap and lock. The hinged place contains a female fastener that secures all three pieces of the top portion. The bottom piece of the snap and lock invention is also made up of three parts: a plate to receive the hinges from the top piece, with a cavity to allow the hinges to rotate counterclockwise into a locked position, a curved structure that serves to connect the hinge/cavity plates and the article of clothing attachment, and a rivet that attaches to the article of clothing and the snap and lock invention.
