A shaving system comprising a shaving device and a cleaning device (14) is disclosed, wherein the shaving device comprises a main housing and a shaving unit coupled to the main housing, wherein the main housing accommodates an electric actuator and a first drive unit drivable by the electric actuator, the shaving unit comprising at least one hair-cutting unit and a second drive unit coupled to the first drive unit and to the hair-cutting unit such that the hair-cutting unit is drivable by the electric actuator via the first and second drive units; wherein the cleaning device (14) comprises a supporting structure (15) for supporting the shaving device, and a receiving space (28) for receiving the shaving unit when the shaving device is arranged in a cleaning position supported by the supporting structure (15); and wherein the cleaning device (14) comprises a reservoir (32) for containing a cleaning liquid and a fluid pumping unit (48) for transporting the cleaning liquid from the reservoir (32) to the receiving space (28); wherein the shaving device comprises a driving coupling member which is accessible from an outside of the shaving device and drivable by the shaving device; wherein the cleaning device (14) comprises a driven coupling member (30) which is accessible from an outside of the cleaning device (14), and a third drive unit (50) coupled to the driven coupling member (30) and to the fluid pumping unit (48) such that the fluid pumping unit (48) is drivable by the driven coupling member (30); and wherein the driving coupling member and the driven coupling member (30) are arranged such that, in the cleaning position of the shaving device, the driven coupling member (30) is coupled to the driving coupling member such that the fluid pumping unit is drivable by the driving coupling member.

A razor blade cleaning device (10), for cleaning the or each blade of a safety razor or cartridge, comprises an open cleaning chamber, suitably dimensioned for receiving a razor head or cartridge, wherein the device is configured such that a fluid is feedable through the cleaning chamber to contact the blades of a razor head or cartridge disposed therein.

A razor blade cleaning device (10), for cleaning the or each blade of a safety razor or cartridge, comprises an open cleaning chamber, suitably dimensioned for receiving a razor head or cartridge, wherein the device is configured such that a fluid is feedable through the cleaning chamber to contact the blades of a razor head or cartridge disposed therein.

A method for refurbishment of razor cartridges (10) comprises determining an identity of a consumer based on a consumer identifier associated with a razor cartridge (10) comprising at least one razor blade (20, 22, 24) and received from the consumer. The at least one razor blade is cleaned and at least a portion of the at least one razor blade is re-coated. A quality of the razor cartridge (10) following cleaning and re-coating is verified prior to packaging the razor cartridge (10) for delivery to the consumer. The delivery address for the packaged razor cartridge (10) is determined based on the identity of the consumer as determined based on the consumer identifier associated with the razor cartridge (10).

A method for refurbishment of razor cartridges (10) comprises determining an identity of a consumer based on a consumer identifier associated with a razor cartridge (10) comprising at least one razor blade (20, 22, 24) and received from the consumer. The at least one razor blade is cleaned and at least a portion of the at least one razor blade is re-coated. A quality of the razor cartridge (10) following cleaning and re-coating is verified prior to packaging the razor cartridge (10) for delivery to the consumer. An apparatus for cleaning multibladed razor heads such as disposable razor cartridges of shaving razors. The apparatus may include a nozzle head, a neck for channeling cleaning fluid to the nozzle head, and a razor head retainer for receiving and holding in position, relative to the nozzle head, a razor head of a multibladed razor device. The nozzle head may include a plurality of spray orifices for spraying cleaning fluid onto the razor head. The plurality of spray orifices arranged in parallel rows of orifices, the nozzle head having a first side and a second side opposite of the first side and the spray orifices extending from the first side to the second side. The neck being connected to the first side of the nozzle head and the razor head retainer disposed adjacent to the second side of the nozzle head.

An apparatus for cleaning multibladed razor heads such as disposable razor cartridges of shaving razors. The apparatus may include a nozzle head, a neck for channeling cleaning fluid to the nozzle head, and a razor head retainer for receiving and holding in position, relative to the nozzle head, a razor head of a multibladed razor device. The nozzle head may include a plurality of spray orifices for spraying cleaning fluid onto the razor head. The plurality of spray orifices arranged in parallel rows of orifices, the nozzle head having a first side and a second side opposite of the first side and the spray orifices extending from the first side to the second side. The neck being connected to the first side of the nozzle head and the razor head retainer disposed adjacent to the second side of the nozzle head.

The invention relates to a cleaning and charging station for an electrically driven device. The station comprising an outer housing with a base portion and a gallows structure extending from the base portion. The base portion comprises a cleaning chamber for at least partially receiving the electrically driven device and the gallows structure comprises a charging terminal for charging the electrically driven device. The station further comprises a circuit board mounted within the housing and connected to the charging terminal. The circuit board is located in the gallows structure at a position spaced from the cleaning chamber.
