An applicator head for applying a fluid product including a cosmetic, care, or pharmaceutical product onto the keratinous substrate. The applicator head includes an applying member elongated along a longitudinal axis. The applying member has tubular body with a closed proximal end and an open distal end. The applying member includes a sidewall and an interior longitudinal cavity having an opening at the open distal end of the applying member. The applying member, at its distal end portion, has a ball socket for rotatably mounting a spherical ball. The spherical ball can discharge the fluid product by rotation. The sidewall includes at least two through feed openings that allow filling of the internal longitudinal cavity with the fluid product when the applying member is dipped in the receptacle. A portion of the spherical ball protrudes from the ball socket beyond the open distal end of the applying member.

A bottle including a reservoir for a liquid or semi-fluid product and a dispensing head projecting from the reservoir along a main axis. The dispensing head includes a roll-on applicator including a ball holder in which a ball is caged and from which a cap of the ball emerges. The bottle includes a rotary stopper suitable for covering the roll-on applicator in a closed position of the bottle, and for being released from the roll-on applicator for distributing product in an open position of the bottle. The ball holder is mounted translatably along the main axis, the roll-on applicator including an elastic component inserted between an applicator body and the ball holder. The ball moves in translation jointly with the ball holder to take a retracted position when the roll-on applicator is covered by the rotary stopper and a deployed position when the rotary stopper is released from the roll-on applicator.

The present invention provides devices for dispensing topical pharmaceutical compositions. In some embodiments, the dispensing device possesses a reservoir for storing the composition and means for metering the composition. In some embodiments, such reservoirs are: i. made from, or substantially lined with, a material that opaque and/or substantially nondepleting of at least one component of the composition; ii. optionally, volumetrically compressible; and iii. fitted with the means for metering the composition. And the means for metering are adapted to measure a fixed amount of the composition for application to a dermal region of a user of the device. In some embodiments, the compositions has a specific gravity in the range of from about 0.85 to about 1.20 at about room temperature and comprises a medicament; a thickening agent; and a solvent, and optionally a skin penetration enhancer and/or a deodorant.

A liquid dispensing container assembly includes a container having a container interior configured to contain a supply of liquid to be dispensed. A rotatable, liquid dispensing head is carried by the container and has a dispensing surface and a dispensing port. An opening in the liquid dispensing head may communicate with the dispensing port. The liquid dispensing head includes one or more rollers disposed in one or more respective sockets. A dispensing adaptor may be disposed in the liquid dispensing head. The liquid dispensing head may be rotatable between a dispensing position wherein the opening in the liquid dispensing head aligns or registers with an opening in the dispensing adaptor to facilitate flow of the liquid from the container onto the dispensing surface of the liquid dispensing head and a closed position wherein the opening misaligns or misregisters with the opening in the dispensing adaptor.
