A paint applicator, kit and methodology for using the same is disclosed. For example, a paint applicator that allows a user to load a desired amount of paint, such as a water based or other low VOC paint, into the paint applicator and an advancement mechanism that dispenses paint at a rate controllable by the user is disclosed. The advancement mechanism can include a system that translates a rotational force applied to an end cap of the applicator into a linear force that advances a piston which in turn applies paint to an applicator portion. The paint applicator may be reusable or may include a ratchet system that allows for only one time use. The methodology and kit can incorporate a syringe for loading paint into the paint applicator, thus reducing the loss of paint through spilling.

A toothbrush includes a toothbrush head having bristles and an interior opening for receiving toothpaste, a neck portion extending from the toothbrush head, with the neck portion including an interior channel connecting to the opening, and a handle portion extending from the neck portion. The handle portion includes an opening for receiving a toothpaste packet, a cavity for housing the toothpaste packet, and a compression section capable of compressing toothpaste contained in the cavity. The compression section includes an operable element configured to provide a lateral compression force.

A personal care brush includes a brush head portion and handle portion with an exposed groove for receiving a first container that stores one to six doses of a facial or oral care product. The groove leads to a channel that runs through the brush head to an opening at a bristle frame side of the brush head. A pushing member is manually advanced along the groove to push product from the first container into the channel and out through the opening. A member located at a backside of the brush head is movable relative to an axis of the toothbrush. The member has a first position for personal care applications and a second position for facilitating exposure of the channel for channel cleaning.

A fluid supply apparatus with leakage protection. The apparatus includes a housing defining a storage cavity having a total volume including a fluid portion and a gas portion. The storage cavity extends along a cavity axis from a first end to a second end. A capillary member is fluidly coupled with the fluid. A vent tube having a primary vent passageway and a plurality of vent apertures is located in the storage cavity. The primary vent passageway forms a pathway from the vent apertures to the external atmosphere. Fluid cannot flow through the vent apertures at ambient temperature and pressure equilibrium. The vent apertures may be located and arranged on the vent tube such that irrespective of vertical and angular orientation of the housing relative to a gravitational vector at least one of the vent apertures is in spatial communication with the gas.

A fluid delivery apparatus including a reservoir containing at least one fluid. A capillary channel extends from the reservoir to deliver the fluids stored in the reservoir through one or more fluid outlets via capillary action. In one embodiment, an applicator formed of a capillary material is located within the outlet. A variety of fluids can be administered for therapeutic, hygienic, and/or other benefits. In one aspect, the apparatus includes a housing defining a reservoir; at least one fluid stored in the reservoir; and a capillary channel in fluid coupling with the at least one fluid, the capillary channel including a first capillary member and a second capillary member that circumferentially surrounds the first capillary member such that the first and second capillary members are concentric.

A personal care instrument, such as a toothbrush or shave brush, has a single dose capsule of dentrifice or shaving substance that is opened and dispensed. The capsule is loaded into a chamber in a hollow of the instrument. An advancing device advances the capsule into the head of the instrument. A barrier facilitates opening of the capsule. Continued advancement collapses the capsule forcing the contents to be released through an opening in the head to the brush elements so as to dispense the single dose. The instrument also may contain a storage compartment for storing multiple capsules.

A toothbrush comprises a handle section and a brush head. The handle section further comprises a channel having at least one outlet opening which is fluidly coupled to a toothpaste supply, wherein the toothpaste is conveyed from the toothpaste supply via the channel to the at least one outlet opening via a suction process carried out with a mouth of an user.

An electric tooth brush is equipped is equipped with a water or other fluid dispensing jet function. The fluid is contained in a replaceable capsule inserted into the body of the tooth brush. The capsule contains antibacterial cleaning solution. The bristles are replaceable to enable the product of the invention to be long lasting. It has advantages over the standard electric toothbrush because of the water jet aspect, which gives a more thorough clean and eliminates the need for separate flossing by providing a flossing effect.

A device includes a pump and a brushhead. The pump includes a housing and plunger. The housing has an upper opening, a cavity configured to store a composition therein, and a tip having a dispensing opening. The plunger is slidably disposed within housing such that it is moveable with respect to the housing. The brushhead includes a first plurality of bristle bores and a second plurality of bristle bores, each of which extend from a bottom surface of the brushhead towards an opposing top surface and have a bristle bundle extending therefrom. The brushhead includes a generally central throughhole extending between the bottom surface and the opposing top surface. The pump is coupled to the brushhead via the tip of the housing such that actuation of the plunger causes a portion of the composition stored in the housing to be dispensed on at least a portion of the bristle bundles.
