A toilet brush system includes a toilet brush cleaner for cleaning a toilet brush of the type having an elongated handle with a proximal end and a distal end terminating in a brush head having a plurality of projecting brush bristles. The toilet brush cleaner comprises an elongated handle with a proximal end and a distal end that terminates in an open-ended sleeve sized to accommodate the distal end of the brush therein. The sleeve has a plurality of resilient, inwardly-projecting radial nubs, preferably made from an elastomeric material. In use, with the user holding the handle of the brush cleaner in one hand and the handle of the toilet brush in another hand, the user can repeatedly insert and withdraw the brush from the open sleeve, preferably while rotating the brush and within a flow of water in a toilet, to clean the brush head with the nubs.

A mat may also be provided at a lower side of the apparatus to collect wastewater and allow it to be poured or siphoned into the toilet bowl and disposed of by flushing.

A toilet brush holder comprising a holder body and a barrel body, wherein the barrel body is movably sleeved with the holder body, and an elastic member is arranged between the holder body and the barrel body. The holder body is hinged with barrel covers which are opened and closed along with up-down movement of the barrel body. The barrel body comprises an inner barrel arranged in the holder body, and the holder body comprises a ventilation hole. When the toilet brush is placed in the inner barrel, the barrel body moves down relative to the holder body, propelling the barrel covers closed at the holder body, and allowing the inner barrel to communicate with exterior of the holder body through the ventilation hole. The ventilation hole allows residual water left on the toilet brush to be quickly drained and prevents the breeding of bacteria and generation of foul smell.

Release may achieve at least a 3-log reduction in Staphylococcus aureus within 5 minutes.

Improvements in a cleaning brush is disclosed. The cleaning tool has both a larger and smaller cleaning feature a single size cleaning tool to try and cover all uses is obviated. With a larger cleaning head, the larger cleaning head can be optimized for the rim surfaces of a toilet. The inner detailing head retracts into the outer cleaning tool. In the retracted mode the detailing head operates with the larger outer tool and provides a cohesive flat surface for cleaning. A spring can be used to retract the detailing head. The detailing head extends from the center, side or corner of the cleaning tool and extends far enough to allow for full use of the detailing head to effectively reach corners and/or cervices. The handle and or the head can be angled to provide an optimum angle for use.
