Space-saving furniture assemblies
A furniture assembly includes a housing unit, a table top, and one or more folding tables. Each folding table includes a base and an x-shaped leg assembly coupled to the base. The base includes two support beams disposed along a first pair of opposite ends of a perimeter of a bottom surface thereof, and one or more support bars coupled between the two support beams. The x-shaped leg assembly includes a first rectangular frame having a first leg and a second leg connected by a first cross beam proximal to the bottom surface of the base, and a second rectangular frame mechanically coupled to the first rectangular frame and the base. The first cross beam has one or more channels for accommodating each of the one or more support bars and moves along them between the two support beams to fold and unfold the folding table.
PORTABLE CUTTING APPARATUS ELEVATION SYSTEM
A portable cutting apparatus is described. The portable cutting apparatus includes a cutting board having a top surface and a bottom surface. The bottom surface includes sockets configured to receive legs of an elevation system. Each socket is threaded to include an alignment component and teeth. The alignment component biases rotation of the elevation system component during insertion into the socket to enable full insertion. The teeth are configured to mesh with corresponding teeth of the leg and mechanically secure the leg within the socket. The leg is threaded opposite an end configured for insertion into the socket to include a table foot, in a manner that enables individual height adjustment for each leg of the elevation system. The table foot is configured with a hollow cavity that permits articulation of a base of the table foot to adapt to various surfaces when the portable cutting apparatus is deployed.

Modular Table and Assembly
A furniture item comprises first and second edge modules, each edge module having a substantially horizontal component with a receiving section and a substantially vertical component with a receiving section. The first and second edge modules are spaced and arranged with respect to each other so that the respective receiving section of the horizontal components face each other. A top surface is provided and has first and second ends. The first end is supported by the receiving section of the horizontal component of one first edge module and the second end is supported by the receiving section of the horizontal component of the second edge module. Further, there is a first leg having an upper section accommodated by the receiving section of the vertical component of the first edge module and a second leg having an upper section accommodated by the receiving section of the vertical component of the second edge module.

Folding table and associated folding mechanisms
A modular apron assembly for use in a folding mechanism is provided. The apron assembly may include a cross bar and four perpendicular bars. The perpendicular bars may be affixed to the cross bar and oriented substantially perpendicular to the cross bar. Two of the perpendicular bars may include a leg mount. A coupling flange may extend from each end of the cross bar. Each coupling flange may define a coupling hole for connecting to the coupling holes of an opposing apron assembly. An elbow flange may extend from the cross bar and define a mounting hole. The distance between the mounting hole and the coupling holes may be less than 40 millimeters, the distance between the coupling holes and the leg mounts may be more than 69 millimeters, and the distance between the coupling holes and the leg mounts may be less than 120 millimeters.
Toolless attachment assembly
An attachment assembly for use with furniture and other articles. The attachment assembly includes a connector assembly that is configured to engage with a rail. The connector assembly includes a first, fixed protrusion, a lever, a second protrusion extending from the lever, and a third protrusion positioned between the first protrusion and the second protrusion. The rail includes a lip and a cutout in the lip that is sized to receive the third protrusion. The rail is configured to retain the connector assembly. Pivoting the lever when the connector assembly is positioned within the rail is configured to cause the second protrusion to bear against a bottom surface of the rail, such that the first protrusion and the second protrusion frictionally engage the bottom surface of the rail and the third protrusion frictionally engages the lip to fixedly hold the connector assembly.
